This fridge magnet combines traditional embossing techniques with clay detailing and colour highlighting to enhance the borders and bring out the embossed design—transforming simple materials into unique handcrafted art.
Materials Required
• Tin trays / aluminium foil food boxes
• Scissors
• Dotting tools or ballpoint pen
• Design sheet
• Glue
• MDF base
• Clay
• Magnets (2)
• Tissue paper or cotton cloth
• Diluted black paint / colour
Process
• Cut and flatten the aluminium foil surface
• Place the design sheet and trace carefully
• Emboss the design using dotting tools or a ballpoint pen
• Mount the embossed sheet onto the MDF base
• Decorate the borders with clay for added dimension
• Highlight the embossed pattern using diluted black colour applied with cotton
• Attach magnets at the back
