I’m not gonna lie I felt stupid walking into a gym to film a 10 second clip, BUT I will do it again for YOU❤️❤️❤️ You don’t need a big fancy gym to make changes or feel awesome. You truly can do it at home! You just need effort, consistency and sometimes thinking outside the box😉 when you’re sick of the same old thing so hopefully this helps. I know we think we need a lot of equipment, but truthfully you can do a lot at home with just dumbbells and even bands and a few random smaller things! In fact, all my client workouts only include dumbbells, so trust me when I say there are a lot of options ❤️❤️ Client coaching and guide pics: @dfh.training.pics

I’ve got your back (literally😉), but please let me know if you want me to continue sharing these ideas? No gym no problem! This is a killer back exercise you can do at home. You need a thick long band! I am using one of the bands from my own set that are coming out in about a week and a half. Bands are sooo crucial for making fitness at home more effective!!! I use one in almost every workout I do from home! Last week I recorded 75 exercises with them. Tips below are crucial for everyone, but especially postpartum and women with Diastasis Recti. Please be aware of your core during all movements! Tips: ✅Retract your shoulders ✅ Keep a flat back, elbows close to your your body and chest lifted ✅ Exhale, lifting the pelvic floor drawing the transverse abs in (free breathing series explaining this in bio) to brace the core. ✅ Slow and controlled to really activate your muscles ✅ Inhale and extend the arms. Try to avoid your shoulders rolling foward. Client coaching and guide pics: @dfh.training.pics

The Lunge! It’s brutal but effective! What move do you want me to help breakdown form on next? Anything you struggle with? These are three really common mistakes people make. And heads up for the slight lean it’s about leverage and thats varies by person. You aren’t fully folding or shifting your weight forward but a slight lean allows your lower back to not arch and shifts your weight back which activates the glutes and hamstrings a little easier. It may look different for eveyone on that lean but pay attention to what feels good and what muscles are working! Also people like to shift their weight forward pushing their knee forward instead of more down! If you keep your weight in your heel it does help prevent that as well.
