Kelowna is a beautiful destination in British Columbia, known for its stunning lake views, outdoor activities, wineries, and charming local spots.
This past summer, I spent 4 days in Kelowna Kelowna, and these are the activities I would definitely be doing again if I go back!!
✨ Hiking
Kelowna has some of the best hiking trails in B.C.! I hiked at Kalamoir Regional Park and Kalamalka lake - both have lots of trails to choose from and stunning lake views.
✨ Visit a winery
Kelowna is known as Canada’s wine region, with over 40 wineries to choose from! Even though I’m not a big wine drinker, this was still an experience I would highly recommend! I visited Mission Hill Winery, but there are many to choose from.
✨ Have a beach day
The Okanagan lake has so much to choose from boating, paddleboarding, to just relaxing on the beach. If you love turquoise waters, Kalamalka Lake is a hidden gem that you’ll want to check out!
✨Visit Davidson Orchards
if you want a taste of the local Kelowna charm, head to Davison Orchards for fresh produce, visiting farm animals, and the cutest farm market. It’s a great spot for families and anyone who loves fresh, local eats!

EXTrail details ⤵️
The rock formations at Scenic Canyon (near Gallagher’s Canyon) are so cool!!
There’s the pinnacle that you can see from a distance, the layers of Layer Cake Mountain (aptly named), and the pockmarked canyon wall of the Rock Ovens.
There are a few different trails here, so I’ve created a custom AllTrails map you can use to plan your visit. Comment “guide” for the map and trail info.
It’s about 6.5 km if you want to see all the rocks, or you can pick just the Rock Ovens or just the Pinnacle.

NIDay 1: Vancouver to Kelowna⛰️🚤🌊
Our road trip kicked off from Vancouver with scenic views, great music, and those classic long-weekend vibes! 🎶🚗 We made our first stop in Hope for breakfast at a cozy little spot called Home 🍳☕. The food hit just right and set the tone for the rest of the day.
From Hope, you can either take Highway 3 or Highway 5 to reach Kelowna. 🚙 Highway 5 is the faster, more direct route through Merritt, but we chose the longer and more scenic Highway 3 — and it didn’t disappoint. 🏞️
Our first stop was Manning Park, where we explored the beautiful Lightning Lake — peaceful, picture-perfect, and ideal for a quick picnic 🧺. After that, we stopped at Bears Fresh Fruits and Vegetables to grab some fresh local goodies 🍎🍓.
By evening, we arrived in Kelowna, checked into our hotel, and headed out to explore downtown Kelowna. 🌆🌅 Beautiful lake views, chill vibes, and some great food wrapped up an amazing Day 1. 🍽️✨

JEFrom pop-up to brick-and-mortar — and now, they’re selling out within hours. 👀
This new sandwich spot opens at 12pm… we showed up at 12:02, and the line was already out the door.
It’s grab-and-go style, and even as someone who’s not a sandwich person, I was impressed. I went for the Morty 2.0 (made it spicy, obviously 🌶️), and Mason tried the Rocket Trio — both stacked with flavour, good bread, and all the right textures.
Just don’t sleep on it — go early or risk missing out. 🥪🔥
