EDMOVE YOUR UPSELLS PEOPLE.
I've spent the last two years building a software in the event booking space.
Basically an ecommerce platform for people when they book birthdays, parties, events, etc.
Just by moving the UPSELLS and crossells to AFTER someone pays...we more than 5x'd the take rate on them.
But not only that...people went from adding an average of $30 to $83 PER ORDER.
In a place that does 2000 parties a year - that is a 100k swing. Not even considering how many MORE parties you book by not asking for a bigger sale before they checkout.
The psychology is simple.
Once someone pays, there is so much less friction. They don't worry about what they are ABOUT to spend...because they've already spent it (in their head).
Same reason why all of us add gum and candy bars in a grocery store checkout...it's so easy to just say yes to one more thing when you have made the purchase decision.
Whether your business is digital or in person, you need to have an upsell of some sort AFTER A THE PURCHASE. This will give you so much more cash flow upfront at no cost.
All you have to do is ask.
