Hyrox for beginners 🏃🏼‍♀️ here’s where to start 👇🏻 3 training tips 🤓 If you’re new to Hyrox it’s pretty normal to have no idea where to even start so here’s what I would do 👇🏻 1- build your running and build your aerobic base. Start slow and build up your kms and time on your feet. You can mix running with erg work to reduce any impact 2- strength training - push/pull movements, progressively getting stronger and lifting heavier. We want to build muscle strength AND endurance so we need to focus on strength in one phase of training and the endurance in another. This depends on how many weeks out your race is and is also person dependant 3- Practise the stations, how the ergs feel, how are wall balls right now, how does the sled feel right now? Doing a Hyrox Simulation is also a great place to start because we can see what feels good and what we need to work on. There’s so many variables with training that come into play and it varies from person to person. But this is where I would start. Die Stimmung in der Halle hat einen einfach mitgerissen! 🤍 Trotz etwas schleppender Vorbereitung, da einiges davor noch dazwischen gekommen ist und wir nur zweimal zusammen trainiert haben, ist es (bis auf einen kleinen Patzer 😂 Sind einmal falsch gelaufen und mussten deshalb zurück rennen🏃‍♂️) echt super gelaufen 🙏🏼 Stationen waren super - obwohl es natürlich immer noch Verbesserungspotential gibt. 19.07.25 HYROX DELHI ‘25 We did it! From a non runner to a racer. From giving up early to a finisher. This may not have been my best. I still had gas in the tank and ik i could’ve saved more time. But, honestly this journey was never just about the race. The main event was the prep; When no one was watching, and i still chose to show up. I remember how i felt at the start of this journey; self doubt, frustrations, second guessing, painful days. Wondering if i even belonged here? The prep broke me down before it built me up. And the finish line? That was just a beginning. Here’s to showing up, falling short, growing stronger and doing hard things anyway. #firsthyrox ✅

In the books. - At first, I wasn’t concerned with my overall time, time at each station but it’s important to know if I plan on improving my time in the future. - I felt prepared but I underestimated the “Rox Zone Runs.” Which is an extra run in between the 1k run. Running has to be the main focus for me in the future. - Overall it’s was an incredible experience. The feeling of being an athlete again and preparing for a big event like this is hard to describe. - Huge thank you to my wife @jasianbaby for being in my corner from the beginning. She was filming, live streaming, carrying our daughter through the venue and made sure I was fueled through out the week leading up to the event. - Thank you @ashhhweeeeee and @rick_dizzle24 for sticking around an extra day to watch after Ash killed her first race as well. - Thank you @compoundperformance_ for the coaching/programming prep for the whole year leading up. I enjoyed training, improved my fitness, capacity and got stronger along the way. - I’m sure I’ll do another one, but looking forward to reflecting on the experience and continuing to gain Knowledge on this style of training. - Thank you for all the support for those who have reached out 🙏🏾. - #firsthyrox #hyroxbeginner #hyroxtraining🏃🏻‍♂️

Notre première HYROX Doubles Women et tellement fières de l’avoir terminé en 1h14 avec @clemfayol ! 🔥 Un pur plaisir de vivre cette première en duo, avec une dose d’adrénaline dès la ligne de départ. Le plus dur ? Canaliser le rythme sur les runs pour ne pas se cramer trop tôt. Le plus beau ? Le kiff du début à la fin, ensemble ! Quelques erreurs qui nous coûtent 5 minutes de pénalité (ce qui est énorme) du à une incompréhension sur les tours de run au départ.. mais c’est le jeu ! On apprend et on reviendra plus déterminées que jamais 💪 Ce n’est que le début, rendez-vous très vite sur la ligne de départ 🏁 Merci du fond du cœur à nos amies et à notre famille pour leurs encouragements ❤️ @hyrox.france #hyrox #hyroxwomen #firsthyrox

What is Hyrox? Hyrox is a fitness race for everybody, from everyday athletes to elite competitors. Or if you’re bitter, a poor man’s CrossFit… Some tips and useful information if you’re competing at Manchester this weekend 👇🏼 The race format shown in the video has some slight differences when it comes the categories (see below), mainly in change of weights. Though it’s 8KM of running and 8 workout stations, it’s not necessarily a 50/50 split, as you have something called ‘the roxzone’ - this is the area between workout stations and the running track - the average roxzone can make up another 800M of running. Have a good read of their rule book’s as it differs for both singles and double - you can be penalised or given no reps on exercises if not performed correctly. Men’s open: Sled push/pull - 152KG/103Kg Farmers carry - 2x 24KG Lunges - 20KG Wall balls - 100 reps - 6KG Woman’s open: Sled push/pull - 102KG/78KG Farmers carry - 2x16KG Lunges - 10KG Wall balls - 75 reps - 4KG Men’s pro: Sled push/pull - 202KG/153KG Farmers carry - 32x16KG Lunges - 30KG Wall balls - 100 reps - 9KG Woman’s pro: Sled push/pull - 152KG/103Kg Farmers carry - 2x 24KG Lunges - 20KG Wall balls - 100 reps - 6KG Men’s double: **Same as men’s open** Woman’s double: **Same as woman’s open** Mixed double: **Same as men’s open** This weekend sees the introduction of a new category, men’s pro doubles. #hyrox #hyroxworld #hyroxworkout #runningmotivation #runnersworld #hybridtraining #firsthyrox #hyroxtips

Things I DIDN’T expect at my first HYROX 👇 Save this if you’re thinking about racing one 1️⃣ The Rox Zones are LONG The transitions add way more distance than I expected. Organized and clear, but it adds up. Factor it into your finish time. 2️⃣ Fueling mid-race matters Taking a gel after the burpees was a game-changer, best pre race advice I got and took. I could immediately feel the difference and had energy to work with for the rest of the race. 3️⃣ Adrenaline will lie to you The energy is unreal. Your body will want to go faster than it’s ready for. Having preset paces on my watch kept me grounded and focused. 4️⃣ Set goals — but allow them to be adjustable I always want to hit the goals I set for myself, but I’m glad my goal was realistic and flexible. It gave me clarity without beating myself up afterward. 5️⃣ This is a runner’s race If there’s one big takeaway, it’s the running. Now that I’ve completed one, I know exactly how I need to adjust my training volume and intensity. Running will be my top priority going into the next HYROX. This is, without a doubt, a runner’s race. Now the backstory ⬇️ I completed my first HYROX this weekend in Anaheim representing @one_team_elite_fitness and if you’ve ever thought about doing one, I say go for it. I trained consistently for a couple of months, but the last six weeks were tough… My business rebrand, training on the back burner, and getting sick the week before the race felt like it all added up. My original goal was a 1:30 finish. A week out, I adjusted to under 1:50. I set very clear pacing goals for every run and rough targets for each station. I didn’t want to get pulled into the noise or the hype. I wanted to run my race, making STEADINESS my priority. I’m proud to say I held 10:30–11:00 pace for the entire race. I am not a speedy runner so this felt good for me. Some stations hit, some missed on my timing goals. But now I have real benchmarks, real data, and real clarity. That 1:30 goal is still in my head. From can’t run 1km… to finishing my first HYROX in 1:12 🔥 What a moment. What a race. What a feeling! When I started this journey a year ago, I couldn’t run 1km without stopping. Today, we crossed the HYROX mixed doubles finish line in 1:12, smashing our goal of 1:15. Every early morning, every hard session, every setback — it all led to this. The race felt unreal, even though the wall balls at the end absolutely humbled me (note to self: next time, read the technical briefing so you don’t aim for the wrong target 😩). But honestly? None of that takes away from how proud I am of what we achieved. A massive thank you to @luke_harborne , conned you into signing up for this months ago, and you carried us like an absolute weapon. Couldn’t have asked for a better teammate. This is so much more than just a time on a clock.
