Myth 1: You can’t change your metabolism. WRONG, you can boost your metabolism through exercise by building lean muscle mass (9 Week Control Freak anyone?) Myth 2: A diet of green tea, coffee and hot peppers will boost your metabolism. Not totally accurate or efficient. While studies have shown these things to boost your metabolism for a short period of time after consuming them it doesn’t work for the long hall & it’s not a healthy way to manage your metabolism. Instead focus on avoiding fried, sugary & highly processed foods. Myth 3: Eating late at night will slow your metabolism. This is wrong. Eating late at night doesn’t slow your metabolism causing you to gain weight. The truth is your less likely to burn off as many calories because we tend to move less at night.
