Kig på din tommelfinger Før fingeren ind mod din næsebro (punktet på næsen mellem øjnene) Hvis du på et tidspunkt ser 2 fingre, så stop her. Slører fingeren er det helt fint at fortsætte Når du er så langt inde som muligt, så luk øjnene Stræk armen, åben øjnene igen og gentag forfra. Gentag 5-10 gange. Lidt baggrundsinfo: Når du bevæger øjnene ind mod næsen hedder det konvergens. Konvergens foregår via din 3. kranienerve, som bor i den del af hjernen der kaldes midthjernen (mesencephalon). Det er i øvrigt en del af hjernestammen. Øget aktivitet i midthjernen er også forbundet med øget flexor-tonus, og flexor betyder bøjer…. Inden du starter, så test din ryg, din skulder, din hofte, eller det led du nu vil bøje. Lav så pencil pushup og test så igen bagefter. Hvis du bevæger dig Længere Hurtigere Med færre smerter Så lav øvelsen nogle gange i løbet af dagen. Ingen forskel - glem øvelsen igen. Værre bagefter - glem øvelsen igen for nu. The flexor digitorum longus (FDL) is a muscle in the lower leg that plays a crucial role in flexing the toes and assisting with plantarflexion of the foot. It originates on the tibia and fibula, and its tendon splits into four to insert on the distal phalanges of the lateral four toes. The FDL is often used in tendon transfer surgeries to address foot and ankle issues.  Clinical Significance: Tendon Transfer: The FDL tendon is frequently used in tendon transfer surgeries, such as to reinforce the posterior tibial tendon or correct foot deformities.  Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome: An accessory flexor digitorum longus muscle can compress the posterior tibial nerve, potentially causing tarsal tunnel syndrome, which can cause pain and numbness in the foot.  Hammer Toe: FDL tendon transfer may be used in cases of hammer toe deformities, where the toe is bent abnormally.  Posterior Tibial Tendon Dysfunction: The FDL can be used to reinforce the posterior tibial tendon, which helps support the arch of the foot.  . . . I like simplicity so here’s my best go at it: your hip flexors are a big part of “picking up” your legs during movement. Walking, running, going up the stairs etc. So, the stronger your hip flexors, the more capable you can be with your low body. Take this to the next level and strengthen your hip flexors via progressive overload and you’ll see athletic gains. Faster sprints, higher jumps, more agility etc. In a longevity sense, the hip flexor is just another piece to the puzzle for building mobility and functional strength. Along with your quad strength, hamstrings, calf, tib, ankle, foot etc. Skip one or two and you might feel some imbalances / pain / discomfort. Good to check all the boxes ya know? Give these a try. I’m using the foot straps from @atgequipment on the cable pulls.
