Eu busquei um capacete que realmente protege a cabeça. Tanto pela área que protege, tanto pela tecnologia dentro. A @fox.racingbrasil , em sua linha de capacetes, possui tecnologia MIPS.
O sistema de segurança MIPS incorpora uma camada de baixo atrito no interior do capacete, projetada para permitir um deslocamento multidirecional de 10 a 15 mm em certos impactos angulares. Esse mecanismo ajuda a reduzir as forças rotacionais aplicadas à cabeça. Em situações de impacto o movimento rotacional pode ocorrer devido à interrupção do movimento, levando o cérebro a se deslocar ou se esticar dentro do crânio. Como o cérebro apresenta propriedades de cisalhamento semelhantes às da água ou de um gel, ele é mais suscetível a danos causados por movimentos rotacionais do que por movimentos lineares. Quando partes diferentes do cérebro se deslocam em velocidades distintas por conta do movimento rotacional, os tecidos podem ser esticados, aumentando o risco de concussões ou outras lesões cerebrais.
