So I decided to find out what would happen if I went ALL IN on learning splits. It turns out there was a lot that I didn’t know about the science of stretching 🤯 So after wasting 10 months just holding stretches hoping to get splits, I implemented what I’ve learned after becoming a certified coach in stretching & flexibility. Now I’m documenting and sharing my entire splits training program that I’ve created to learn how to get the splits for the first time as an adult in my 30’s. Hitting full splits isn’t really what Splits week is about. So what is it about? Openness. Mobility. Flexibility. Strength. These movements work opposition and can dramatically improve hip mobility and flexibility, and build serious functional strength in your hamstrings, glutes and core. Your stabilizing muscles have to work to control each movement, whether you’re entering, holding, or coming out of the split. 
And Splits week is also just FUN! It’s a light week, not a heavy or serious vibe. We’re laughing, all trying something new together and celebrating every new inch of flexibility. Two new Splits workouts with Caitlin and Anna are ready for you on demand!

But flexibility isn’t a prerequisite for training the splits — it’s the result of training the splits 💪🏽 Most people try to solve this by stretching more. The problem is stretching alone doesn’t build the things your body actually needs to go deeper: • strength in long ranges • control through the hips • tolerance for deeper positions When those qualities improve, range of motion follows.
