MIEverything that could go wrong did go wrong with tiling.
The Friday before the tiling was due to start, the tiler came to quote for some changes to the plans. He quoted on pictures and videos originally. He thought he was only doing one bathroom despite being very clear that there was a bathroom and an ensuite. He quoted an additional $5k and didn’t have the time to do both in any event. I spent the weekend panicking and trying to find someone to start Monday.
It is wild how many people don’t have the proper licence to do building work that offer tiling.
I found someone who could start Monday, was within budget and had the appropriate licence. Then I got a text Saturday night that he couldn’t start for another week. After some back and forth he finally agreed to start the Monday. He said it would take a week.
Two and a half weeks later we had two tiled bathrooms. #bathroom #renovation #bathroomrenovation
