Here’s how you go deeper and get through it 👇 1️⃣ Understand what boredom really is Boredom is your brain recalibrating after years of artificial highs. This phase passes if you don’t interrupt it with drink. 2️⃣ Grieve the old version of you You’re not just quitting alcohol. You’re letting go of an identity. Social you. Relaxed you. Switch-off you. Grief shows up as boredom. 3️⃣ Stop chasing “fun” early on Early sobriety isn’t about excitement. It’s about stability. Fun returns later stronger and cleaner. 4️⃣ Turn evenings into recovery windows Alcohol stole sleep, energy, patience, presence. Use evenings to rebuild what it took. 5️⃣ Learn to be alone without escaping This is massive. If you can sit with yourself sober, you become dangerous (in a good way). 6️⃣ Boredom exposes what alcohol covered Restlessness. Anxiety. Emptiness. Unfulfilled potential. That’s not failure that’s information. 7️⃣ Create boring routines on purpose Same walk. Same time. Same tea. Same bed. Boring creates safety. Safety creates momentum. 8️⃣ Replace stimulation with progress Alcohol gave stimulation without progress. Sober habits give progress without fireworks at first. 9️⃣ Accept the flat phase You won’t feel amazing straight away. That doesn’t mean sobriety isn’t working. It means your brain is healing. 🔟 Build something instead of escaping Your body. Your fitness. Your career. Your marriage. Your relationship with your kids. Boredom is unused creative energy. 1️⃣1️⃣ Ask the real question Not “How do I stop being bored?” But: “Who do I become if I don’t run from this?” Final truth: Alcohol didn’t make life interesting. There’s a curfew, chores, a house manager, and clear rules so they can work, save, and get back on their feet. It isn’t treatment or medical care. And it’s not a halfway house. You simply provide a safe, structured, and substance free environment. Residents aren’t tenants on leases. They sign a simple license to occupy a bed and agree to the rules. The demand for Sober Living Homes is extremely high because substance abuse is rapidly rising in the U.S. Here’s the simple way to start: 1️⃣ Pick a location. Call the Continuum of Care of nearby counties and ask if they need beds, the typical rate per resident, and how to get approved as a vendor. 2️⃣ Check the local rules. Most states do not require a license for this, but AZ, UT, and NJ do. 3️⃣ Get a house in a safe area near transit and a grocery store. If you buy: Private money for down payment + gap lending, hard money for acquisition and rehab if needed, refinance into long term financing once rehab is complete. If you lease: 2-3 year corporate lease 4️⃣ Set it up as a Sober Living Home. Buy durable furniture from FB marketplace, 2 beds per room, 2 full‑size fridges, keypad locks, entry cameras. Budget about $5k-$10k. 5️⃣ Set up tight systems: License‑to‑occupy, intake form, house rules, chore chart, curfew. Appoint a house manager. 6️⃣ Build a waitlist before opening. Get referrals from case managers and launch with a fully occupied home. 7️⃣ Get paid making an impact Depending on the state, programs typically pay between $600-$1,200/month per bed. All my homes are located in California. But more importantly than the numbers, It’s the impact that makes this work deeply fulfilling. Our homes give individuals and families a 2nd chance to get back on their feet and re-build their lives. Sober Living is a responsibility I take seriously. On my last video people were saying that I’m on something because my pupils were so small when I’m literally outside in bright sunlight that’s exactly how they’re supposed to look 😂 God man yall embarrassing. In bright light, your pupils constrict (get smaller). That’s a normal reflex controlled by your nervous system to limit how much light enters your eyes and protect your retina. In the dark, the opposite happens—they dilate (get bigger) to let in more light. If someone’s pupils don’t get smaller in sunlight, or one is different from the other, that can point to issues like nerve problems, certain drugs, or eye conditions. If that’s what you’re noticing, it’s worth paying attention.

Makes me sick thinking about it, even now when the police are behind me I have to remember im sober and I don’t have drugs tucked down my bra 🫣 #sobriety #recovery #sober #alcoholfree #soberlifestyle
