How to Pronounce GHOTI🐐 99% of you will get this wrong.. How would YOU pronounce THIS word? It might seem simple at first but the way it’s pronounced will completely break your brain. You see, “ghoti” isn’t a real word. It was invented in the 19th century to show how messed up English spelling really is. The word is made up of 3 parts The “Gh” as in “enough” makes the “f” sound. Then “o” as in “women” gives the short “i” sound. And finally, “ti” as in “nation” makes the “sh” sound. Put it all together, and suddenly “ghoti” equals “fish.” #storytime #shorts #short #funfact #funfacts
