I love a bit of gold leafing especially on smaller things like vases, shoes, bags, picture frames etc. the secret to good gilding..using the right glue, it’s called “size” and not being too impatient…let the glue set and go clear before you add the leaf! In recreating the Kintsugi vase in paper, I reverse the order. The story doesn’t unfold from perfection to flaw to healing—it begins with the healing.
