A terrifying close call was caught on camera at a northern international airport yesterday after a commercial jet hit a patch of black ice on the tarmac. The footage, captured by a passenger waiting at the gate, shows the massive airliner lose traction and begin to drift sideways directly toward the ground crew. The two workers, wearing high-visibility safety jackets, are seen frantically scrambling and slipping across the ice in a desperate bid to avoid the path of the multi-ton aircraft. The plane spins over 90 degrees, narrowly avoiding a service truck, before finally coming to a stop as its tires reach salted pavement. Airport officials reported no injuries and credited the ground crew’s quick, albeit slippery, reflexes for avoiding a disaster. The widely shared video of a “flying” plane was filmed on December 22, 2020, at Opa-locka Executive Airport. The footage shows a decommissioned Learjet being lifted and spun in circles by a Caterpillar excavator, creating the illusion that the aircraft was soaring once again. In reality, the jet had already been stripped of its engines and interior components and was scheduled for full demolition that day. The moment was captured by aviation student Daniel Gonzalez, who happened to be passing by after a training session and noticed the operator playfully rotating the fuselage before it was dismantled. Although it looked like a choreographed stunt, it was simply a lighthearted moment by the ground crew before the aircraft was reduced to scrap metal. The clip quickly gained traction online, especially among aviation enthusiasts, as the heavy jet appeared almost weightless while spinning against the sky.

Shocking Tarmac Footage: Jet Slides Out of Control on Black Ice O'Hare International Airport, Chicago – January 14, 2025 A terrifying security camera clip from a ground crew's perspective captured the moment a multi-ton commercial jet became a massive projectile on a frozen runway. The video starts with two ground technicians preparing for a routine arrival. As a Boeing 737 makes its turn toward the gate, the nose gear hits a patch of invisible black ice. Instantly, the aircraft loses all directional control, spinning nearly 180 degrees. The ground crew can be seen scrambling for their lives, slipping and sliding on the frozen pavement as the massive wing of the plane sweeps just feet above their heads. The jet’s engines roar in a desperate attempt to gain traction, but the momentum carries the aircraft sliding sideways into a snowbank. Air traffic control immediately grounded all flights as emergency teams rushed to the scene. Miraculously, no injuries were reported among the passengers or crew, though the plane sustained significant landing gear damage. Aviation experts are calling it one of the closest calls in the airport's history. This video is created with AI, and the story is for your entertainment.

Runway Intrusion – Boeing Freighter Drone Strike (Leaked Apron Footage) ------------ ----------- ------------- This raw and unfiltered footage captures a harrowing runway intrusion at london heathrow during a period of intense rain and crosswinds. The video starts with a boeing freighter executing a difficult go-around after an airbus faced similar challenges earlier that afternoon. Just as the freighter’s engines spool up to climb through the gray overcast sky, an unauthorized consumer drone drifts into the flight path. The handheld camera, held by a member of the ground crew, follows the aircraft as it passes the runway lights until a silver quadcopter strikes the cockpit window. A sharp metallic crack echoes across the apron as the glass spider-webs from the high-speed impact. In the following seconds, the scene turns into pure chaos; the wind and rain are sucked toward the broken window while the engine roar intensifies for the climb. The ground crew gasps in disbelief as the camera jolts from the shockwave, eventually dipping toward the wet tarmac as water splashes over the lens. This brief clip provides a terrifying look at the consequences of drone interference, showcasing the struggle between a massive cargo jet and a small intruder during the most vulnerable phase of flight in extreme weather conditions. #aviation #emergencylanding #dronestrike #boeing. Thank you for watching this high-intensity visual demonstration. We truly appreciate your time and hope you enjoyed the spectacle. It is important to clarify that this entire video was created using advanced Artificial Intelligence tools. The footage is strictly for entertainment purposes, designed to explore the boundaries of synthetic media and digital storytelling. While the events and visuals may appear strikingly realistic, they are computer-generated simulations intended to provide a thrilling experience rather than a depiction of real-world events.

Aircraft Parking Brakes – Small Handle, Massive Responsibility ✈️🛑 Parking brakes keep the aircraft stationary after landing, during engine start, or when parked without chocks. Simple concept. Serious system. What It Is 🧠 The parking brake locks hydraulic pressure in the brake lines, holding the main landing gear brakes applied even after pedal pressure is released. In most aircraft: • Brakes are hydraulically operated • Parking brake traps that pressure mechanically or via valve How It’s Applied ⚙️ Typical procedure (airliners): 1️⃣ Press and hold toe brakes 2️⃣ Pull parking brake lever / rotate parking brake knob 3️⃣ Release toe brakes 4️⃣ Verify brake pressure indication In smaller aircraft (like Cessna types): • Pull parking brake knob while pedals are pressed Always follow aircraft SOP. No assumptions. Cockpit Indications 📊 • PARK BRK light (on many jets) • Hydraulic pressure indication • EICAS/ECAM message on modern aircraft If pressure drops, brake holding capability reduces. External Indication 👀 Here’s the key: Most aircraft do NOT have a large visible external sign saying “parking brake ON.” Ground crew confirm by: • Wheel chocks placement • Brake fan noise (if running) • Cockpit communication • Aircraft not rolling when pushed lightly On some aircraft, brake accumulator pressure may be visible during maintenance, but not as a public indicator. Important Safety Point ⚠️ Parking brake is NOT a substitute for wheel chocks. Why? Hydraulic pressure can leak down over time. Temperature changes affect pressure. Aircraft weight can overcome brake friction. That’s why SOP usually says: Chocks in → Then parking brake release (at gate). Overheating Risk 🔥 After heavy landing: • Brakes can be extremely hot • Setting parking brake immediately may trap heat • Can increase fire risk Some procedures recommend allowing brake cooling before setting parking brake. During Pushback 🚜 • Parking brake must be released • Ground crew confirms “brakes released” • After pushback, “set parking brake” command is given #ParkingBrake #AircraftSystems #AviationKnowledge #FlightDeck ✈️🛑 Follow @prath1001 for more aviation content ✈️

1. You’re looking out of the terminal window at a routine taxiway scene: the aircraft is slowly moving towards the parking stand. Suddenly, the plane starts drifting sideways, as if pushed by an invisible force. There’s black ice under the landing gear — the result of freezing rain and a sudden drop in temperature. The wheels are turning, but there’s almost no traction. 2. The skid develops smoothly and frighteningly slowly. The airliner turns sideways, its nose heading towards a service building, with ground equipment and staff nearby. At these speeds, pilots can’t “brake” like on a road. Thrust is minimal, reverse thrust doesn’t help — everything depends on friction, which is absent. 3. Flash freeze occurs when the temperature drops within minutes after rain. Water on the concrete turns into a thin, transparent film. The surface looks normal, but the coefficient of friction drops almost to zero. Even a heavy aircraft weighing tens of tonnes becomes uncontrollable. 4. Cameras capture the aircraft sliding completely off the taxiway. Only a few metres remain before the wall. The plane stops just in front of the building. The ground crew jumps aside, realising that the inertia of such mass doesn’t forgive mistakes. 5. Officially, the cause is cited as a combination of freezing rain and a sudden temperature drop. No one was injured, but the footage shows how vulnerable aircraft are on the ground. In the air, everything is calculated down to the smallest detail, but on the concrete, a single layer of ice can turn controlled movement into a slide with no room for manoeuvre. ‼️ Drop “system” in comments for my $1k-5k/day AI viral videos system.

Ever wondered how pilots park an aircraft at night? 🤔✈️ When an aircraft approaches the gate, the pilot cannot always clearly see the exact parking line especially at night or during poor visibility. That’s where a marshaller comes in. Using illuminated signal batons, the marshaller stands in front of the aircraft and guides the pilots safely into the parking bay. Every hand signal communicates a specific instruction to the flight crew. In this moment, the marshaller is indicating the parking bay, showing the pilots the exact direction to align the aircraft. These signals help the pilots to: ✈️ Align the aircraft with the correct stand ✈️ Stop at the precise parking mark ✈️ Avoid ground equipment and nearby aircraft ✈️ Ensure safe ground operations For aircraft such as the Airbus A320, even a small misalignment can affect jet bridge connection, baggage loading, refueling, and catering operations. That’s why marshallers play a critical role in airport ground safety and coordination. Next time you see those glowing batons on the runway, remember they are part of the silent language between the ground crew and the cockpit. Did you know pilots rely on hand signals like this to park aircraft? 👀 Or have you seen marshalling operations before? #aviation #explorepage #engineering #fyp #avgeek

- The post shares a January 2026 viral video from Victor Dias TV capturing an American Airlines Boeing 737 sliding uncontrollably on a snow-slicked runway during a blizzard, with ground crew sprinting to evade its path amid near-zero visibility. - It underscores the razor-thin margins in winter aviation, where rapid deceleration on contaminated surfaces demands instinctive crew responses, resulting in no injuries but amplifying operational stress. - FAA safety data indicates winter conditions like snow and ice contribute to over 25% of U.S. runway excursions, emphasizing the value of enhanced de-icing protocols and real-time weather monitoring in preventing such close calls.

An unexpected winter moment at the airport ❄️✈️ This aircraft from American Airlines was seen slowly sliding across the icy tarmac, reminding us how powerful nature can be. Even massive machines worth millions can struggle when the runway turns into a sheet of ice. Safety crews and ground staff reacted quickly, showing the importance of training, teamwork, and calm decision-making during unpredictable situations. Airports prepare for extreme weather with de-icing procedures, special tires, and towing support, but sometimes conditions still surprise everyone. Thankfully, these moments are usually handled professionally without major damage or injuries. Watching a giant plane glide unintentionally is both shocking and fascinating at the same time. Respect for the pilots and ground crew who manage such intense pressure with focus and skill. Winter aviation is no joke! 🌨️🛫 . #AirportLife #WinterWeather #Aviation #FlightMoments #Runway
