As a dad it is a cool feeling when your little person wants to be like you. When they try to make you proud the same way you once tried to make your parents proud. Watching Hendrix study me is hilarious. I was never this observant at his age. He will watch me for thirty seconds and then try his own toddler version like he has been doing it forever. It reminds me that our kids learn by watching us, not just by what we tell them. They need us present to show them how to handle the world in sports, in life, and in love. They cannot learn that if we are not around. They need proof, not promises. So to the men and the women, be active and be present. Show up. Be the example that teaches them how to stand in the world. THEM HENDRIX BLUES - Jimi Hendrix performing “Red House” at Atlanta Pop Festival in 1970. This clip has BLUESPOWER written all over it as Jimi beautifully delivers the classic lyrics while splicing in electric blues licks between bars. Also, his use of the whammy bar is superb here. The pull off section towards the end, intensified by the whammy, is truly incredible. “Red House” is a song written by Jimi Hendrix and one of the first songs recorded in 1966 by the Jimi Hendrix Experience. It has the musical form of a conventional twelve-bar blues and features Hendrix’s guitar playing. He developed the song prior to forming the Experience and was inspired by earlier blues songs. This is a very intricate song that demonstrates Hendrix’ mastery on guitar. It’s one that earned him the respect of many musicians, including Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. Gibbons says he was “completely turned upside down” when he heard it. Enjoy

Keith Emerson desde una temprana edad era un prodigio con los teclados y el piano, era un rebelde, muy idealista. Se destacó que a fines de los 60s se destacó por revolucionar los órganos en su banda The Nice, con el apodo de "El Jimi Hendrix de los teclados" Después fundó la emblemática Emerson, Lake and Palmer, donde llevó el rock and roll a una sinfonía, haciendo una revolución en los sintetizadores en especial los Moogs, destacando que con sus manos hacía una sinfonía. In the late 60s, Hendrix started using a custom double-neck Strat style guitar, most famously a 6-string over a 12-string, so he could move between huge, chiming rhythm parts and screaming lead lines without switching instruments. On songs like “Little Wing” and “Hear My Train A Comin’,” he used the 12-string neck to create that wide, almost orchestral shimmer, then jumped to the 6-string neck to tear into solos that felt like pure electricity. It was not a gimmick. It was a practical solution for a player who was thinking bigger than any normal guitar could handle, and it became another symbol of how Hendrix was always one step ahead of everyone else.
