NATonight - we rocked some Sorcery - a game that @thehuzzahking has highly touted (and sung the game’s praises!) So I had a closer look for myself! It’s actually…really… fun…. (And I’m not a TCGer really) The game has that Magic card feel- mixed with a hex grid- which creates important positioning and card play- and I kinda loved it. Daniel described it to me as ‘Magic meets chess’ and I see that. I barely won- but Daniel showed me key strategies and walked me through a lot of turns- and that made the game even more enjoyable- seeing the possibilities and understanding what it has to offer as a game. Definitely- check this out - if you are a fan of Magic the Gathering - but want something that offers something different! The hand drawn art is AMAZING too- beautiful! LOHere is my winning blurple deck I played at @collectors.lounge for @lorcana.duelist Enchanted Lady event celebrating @dillon.leduc420 DLC win. I went 5-0 with some really competitive players and it was a lot of fun. I played against 2 purple steels, a blurple, an amber steel, and an amber ruby. The key to victory with blurple is learning how to be patient and focusing on control. The games I lost were against very aggro builds. One of the toughest matches was with @williamh25 who is a buddy of mine that I’ve known from set 2 days. He’s a really great player and had a blurple killer purple steel deck. Funny story is that before we played in the finals there were 3 undefeateds. It was William, Dillion, and myself. It was midnight and Dillion and I were like let’s split. BUT William wanted to play it out. While we were shuffling he told me he beat like 3 blurples 2-0. He didn’t know what I was playing but he came in very confident. When he saw I was on Blurple he got a burst of confidence. He beat me in game 1 with this final play putting out 2 Yzmas. I didn’t let it phase me and proceeded to win the next 2 games. I did have great draws but I also controlled the board the whole time. I prioritized control over questing. By playing purple steel for a while I knew what lines he was looking for and what we didn’t want me to remove. It was a very intense game and I was the one blurple player to finally beat him. In fact the game before that I faced another purple steel player with a similar build who usually also bests blurple players at locals. Perhaps it’s my tech cards or my play style. Could also be luck. It just was my night that night. Funny thing before going to the event I told myself I really need that enchanted dog. It meant more to me winning it because it was during Dillion Dogs party. I was equipped with @heavyplayllc double sleeved with the curved bottoms. if you can draw new cards on your turn (the unknown) then always do that FIRST before you make any other decisions
don’t Ink

don’t Quest
don’t do anything until you have the MOST information possible
when you draw a new card (or more!) you’ll have new information that may change why you decide to do!
so always draw your cards - do the unknown - before you do the known
