LIKids Week at the Intrepid ✈️
Imagination takes flight at New York City’s Intrepid Sea, Air, & Space Museum!
During Kids Week, children of all ages and interests will learn about STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts & math) through fun-filled activities, NASA displays & exhibits, live animal shows, hands-on workshops, performances, special guests and interactive demonstrations, all designed to educate and inspire!
A few highlights by day:
Saturday, February 18:
NASA Space Telescope engineer will be teaching kids about the engineering behind the famous telescope.
Sunday, February 19:
Meet an Astronaut! Astronaut Jessica Watkins talks about her career and shared an interactive demo shows kids how space shuttles get to space.
Monday, February 20:
Science in space! Learn about astronauts, space suits, and the vacuum effect of space on different objects
Tuesday, February 21:
Blue Man Group Perform, Gazillion Bubble Show, and Dogman the Musical will perform
Wednesday, February 22:
The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show and Ballet Hispanico performance (ages 6+) will perform
Thursday, February 23:
Get wild! Two by Two Animal Haven, the Wildlife Conservation Society & Jenkinson’s Aquarium, will be visiting allow kids to discover some animal (or fish) friends
Friday, February 24:
Wildlife Theater presents puppet shows, and Mad Science takes kids on an adventure in Physics. Robofun will also present LEGO robots and coding interfaces.
Saturday, February 25:
Watch a Fire and Ice show by Mad Science, dance performances, and the NYC Ghostbusters League is back to teach kid how ti make a polymer gel (for slime).
