Here’s the first thing you need to do: 1️⃣ (15 min) Do a gap analysis: Copy the job description from the advert and paste into a google doc. Form there highlights the bullet points you have (blue) vs don’t have (red) from the job description. Under each one of the ones you have, add examples when you showed those skills (ex: managed an event). For the ones you don’t have, add anything that could complement that skill. The biggest mistake people make is to take it lightly and not give enough attention to common questions. You don’t need to have a story for each question. Have 5-6 stories that you can use across questions that require you to talk about a situation and explain them in A STRUCTURED FORMAT. the most useful way is the STAR format. Explaining STAR format with an example below — Situation: “In my previous role as a marketing coordinator, I was responsible for leading a campaign for a new product launch...” Task: “My task was to increase brand awareness and drive sales within a tight 6-week timeline...” Action: “I developed a social media strategy, collaborated with the design team to create engaging visuals, and executed a targeted ad campaign...” Result: “We exceeded our sales target by 25% and increased brand awareness by 50% within the 6-week period...” Hope this helps and you can download 100 for questions for free from the link in my bio! #mba #recruiting #interview #interviewtips #resume #jobsearch #jobhunt #consulting #banking #vc #tech
