Born in London in 1946, he joined the band in 1964 and quickly became known for his explosive style behind the drums. Instead of simply keeping rhythm, Moon filled songs with fast rolls, crashing cymbals, and dramatic bursts of sound. His playing helped shape famous tracks like “Baba O’Riley” and “Won’t Get Fooled Again.” He was also known for his wild personality and unpredictable behavior. In 1978, he played his final live show with The Who. Later that year, he died at just 32 years old, but his influence on rock drumming is still felt today.
