The paradox of calorie sufficiency existing alongside stubborn micronutrient deficiencies and a sharp rise in non-communicable diseases (NCDs). While the vision for a Suposhit Bharat (Well-nourished India) by 2047 is clear, the structural challenge remains the gap between high-level policy and institutional execution. At the Public Policy Dialogues 2026, the roundtable on, 'Science to Policy Translation for Future-Ready Food Systems' in collaboration with ICMR-National Institute of Nutrition, takes this challenge head-on. Hosted by the Bharti Institute of Public Policy (BIPP), Indian School of Business, this session moves beyond the "Rice-Wheat" duopoly to examine the institutional mechanics required to shift the nation from mere food security to true Nutritional Security.
