DANot many people know about this important feature of any low tech ski binding (from what I can tell). It is definitely worth cycling (pivoting) any low tech binding through at the toe to clear any ice out of the pin inserts of the boot. Prerelease can and does occur when the pins are not fully engaged and this is the easiest way to make sure they are fully in.
