CPAP doesn’t cure sleep apnea—it just manages the symptom. 😴 The real issue often starts in the mouth: narrow jaws, tongue position, or nasal obstruction. That’s why dentists like me look beyond the machine. With oral appliances, airway therapy, and even holistic tools like grounding sheets, we can reduce inflammation, open the airway, and sometimes even replace CPAP altogether. One of my patients, John, went from snoring like a freight train to sleeping quietly within a week—just by addressing the root cause and reconnecting with the earth. 🌍✨ Your sleep, breathing & health is all connected!! 💬 Comment “directory” to find a holistic dentist near you #HolisticHealth #SleepApneaRelief #BreatheBetterLiveBetter #RootCauseHealing #NaturalWellness #HolisticDentistry #BetterSleepNaturally #InflammationRelief #SnoringSolutions

10 Facts About Women & Sleep Apnea 1. Women are often underdiagnosed with sleep apnea because their symptoms don’t always match the “classic” signs. 2. Many women with sleep apnea do not have loud snoring or obvious breathing pauses. Instead, they may have fatigue, insomnia, headaches, anxiety, or depression. 3. You do not have to be overweight to have sleep apnea. Airway anatomy, hormones, and nasal obstruction also matter. 4. The risk of sleep apnea increases during perimenopause and menopause as estrogen and progesterone levels decline. 5. Untreated sleep apnea increases a woman’s risk of high blood pressure, stroke, and heart disease. 6. Poor sleep from sleep apnea can worsen mood, memory, and concentration and increase the risk of depression. 7. Many women have both insomnia and sleep apnea, which can delay proper diagnosis. 8. Pregnancy can trigger or worsen sleep apnea due to weight changes, fluid shifts, and airway swelling. 9. Chronic exhaustion in women is often blamed on stress or busy schedules when sleep apnea may be the real cause. 10. Proper treatment can significantly improve energy, mood, focus, and overall quality of life. See an ENT specialist if you’re having sleep issues. You may have obstructive sleep apnea. #drnosebest #earnosethroat #obstructivesleepspnea sleep apnea

My dad was suffering from sleep apnea and refused to wear his CPAP 😤 So I went to learn how to make sleep appliances to help him 🦷 Plot twist: During the course, I took a sleep study and discovered I had mild sleep apnea too 😳 I tried the appliances… they made me feel like I was choking 😰 I couldn’t wear them either 💔 That’s when I found myofunctional therapy - myofunctional exercises that retrain your entire airway system 💪 The results? → I rarely snore anymore → I’m dreaming again → Sleeping through the night → No choking appliance needed The research backs this up: 👇 Myofunctional therapy has been shown to reduce sleep apnea by 50% in adults and snoring by 62% 📊 This is why I’m so passionate about it - it worked when nothing else did ✨ Ready to try a solution that doesn’t involve machines or choking on appliances? Try MyoFit Pro free for 14 days - comment RELIEF Or comment Triangle for 10% off the appliance I use in my app Your airway can be retrained 💙 #sleepapnea #CPAP #myofunctionaltherapy #snoring

Most people don’t realize the way they sleep could impact their future. Studies show sleeping on your back can increase dementia risk by 60% compared to side-sleeping. That’s because the glymphatic system—your brain’s overnight cleaning crew—clears out harmful proteins like amyloid-β and tau better when you sleep on your side. Research even found that older adults sleeping on their back for more than 2 hours a night had a 4x higher risk of dementia. Back-sleeping also worsens sleep apnea, which further fragments sleep and raises dementia risk. If changing your sleep position could mean more years of connection, laughter, and memories…isn’t it worth it? 💬 Share this with someone you care about. Because the best family stories need you in every chapter. ❤️ #EasyLongevity #BrainHealth #SleepScience #HereForTheLongHaul

Best sleep tips explained 💤👇🏻 1. Get natural morning light in your eyes : This sets our circadian rhythm (our 24h clock) so your body knows it’s the morning and therefore will know when it’s nightime and time to sleep ! 2. Activate the red light filter on your iPhone after sunset : Settings > accessibility display & text size » color filters » color tint > intensity and hue turned all the way up Then back to accessibility > accessibility shortcuts > color filters Press the side button 3 times and it turns on/off! Helps to limit blue light exposure which messes with our sleep :) 3. Stop eating 2-3h before bed : insulin interferes with melatonin production allow your body to digest the food before sleeping so you can get deep sleep! 4. Dim your lights after sunset : Overhead lights are too harsh and mimick the sun (lots of blue light emitted) which confuses our brain. Stick to dim / red lights 5. Put your legs up the wall for 5min before you sleep : Promotes circulation 8 lymph flow and is amazing to relax the mind, it makes you want to take deep breaths and calm down ! 6. Take a hot shower/bath before bed : This will improve sleep by helping to lower your core body temperature, which signals your brain it’s time to sleep. 7. Get outside at sunset : The sun rays emitted at this time (red/orange hues) communicate with our brain that it is time to sleep soon and to start producing the right sleep hormones. 8. Avoid overstimulation before you sleep : A book, talking, showering, etc- anything that will NOT stimulate your mind, you want to unwind before you sleep! #sleeptips #sleephack #sleepwell
