Unlike fast-swimming hunters, it relies on stealth and chemistry. Inside its body is a specialized harpoon system — a modified tooth called a radula. This microscopic dart is loaded with a complex venom cocktail containing dozens of bioactive peptides known as conotoxins. Each toxin targets specific ion channels and nerves, shutting down muscle control within seconds.
