DHThe last day of Talcher famous “ Hingula Yatra 2025 ” - Situla Yatra.
Yesterday was the last day of this year’s Hingula Yatra 2025 which is also known as “ Situla Yatra ”. Last night, after offering “ Pana “ to the Brahma Agni as per the ritual, after the completion of the puja by Adya Sevak Talcher king and queen and Chief Dehuri Pujari, the fire assumed its big form. After the puja, Maa Hingula assumed her great form and after burning the chandua on herself, she disappeared from the Ubha Sthal.
This place has been identified in the western side of the temple of Maa Hingula and near the pedestrian crossing of Gopal Prasad High School. The Goddess has worshipped in a state of burning fire at a spot near Hingula Temple in Gopal Prasad. The popular function of this temple is celebrated in the month of Chaitra which is observerd here for nine days. Maa Hingula Mandir is a famous temple in Talcher, Angul, Odisha. The Hingula Yatra 2025 has started from 11th April, 2025 at Maa Hingula’s “ Ubha Sthal ”. We experienced and visited this place for the first time.
