AV🌵Microneedling: Rules to Avoid Hair Loss
1. Always start with a clean scalp.
Microneedling should only be done on freshly washed hair and scalp to prevent bacteria from entering the micro-channels.
2. Use the right needle length.
For home use, stay within 0.25–0.5 mm.
3. Never do it on irritated or inflamed skin.
Avoid microneedling if you have dandruff, active pimples, wounds, psoriasis or scalp infections.
4. Disinfect before and after every use.
Spray the roller or pen head with 70% isopropyl alcohol and let it dry completely before touching the skin.
5. Do not use oils or serums before microneedling.
The scalp should be completely clean and dry. Apply serums and oils only after the procedure.
6. Do it gently — never press hard.
Roll or glide lightly in different directions (vertical, horizontal, diagonal). Too much pressure can trigger shedding.
7. Frequency matters.
• 0.25–0.5 mm: start with once a week.
• Always allow the scalp to fully recover before the next session.
8. Keep your tool personal.
Never share your roller or microneedling pen with anyone. Replace the head or roller every few months for hygiene.
9. Avoid heat and washing after.
Don’t wash your hair, use sauna, or apply harsh products for 24 hours after microneedling.
10. Consistency > key.
Gentle, regular sessions bring much better results than aggressive or frequent treatments.
