Probably needed a hug, decided to teach myself how to code instead 👩🏽‍💻📖🧠 During my BSc I had a coding in MATLAB module that I didn’t understand at all😭 I really disliked coding (after the module I promised myself I wouldn’t code again) - simply cause i had no idea what was going on!! Fast forward to years later I thought myself to code in: 🔹 R 🔹 MATLAB 🔹 Python 🔹 Learning Linux/Bash Looking back I would have never imagined a career in coding but I stayed focused on things I wanted to achieve and it all worked out! How to handle errors in Python 👇 If your program crashes when a user enters the wrong input, it’s time to use try and except. They help you catch errors and keep the rest of your code running smoothly. In this example, we used it to stop the program from crashing when someone enters text instead of a number. 📸 #REPOST - Credits: @electrifywithayesha Here are my favorite free, beginner-friendly software tools for Electrical Engineers with plenty of online resources to help you get started: KiCAD: For schematic capture and PCB layout. Tons of tutorials and templates are available, including Shawn Hymel’s Digikey video series. LTSpice: For analog electronic circuit simulations. It has a vast library of parts, example circuits, and plenty of free tutorials online. Onshape: For 3D modeling of components and PCB enclosures. No download is required, and a free maker license is available. The Onshape Learning Center offers free tutorials. SMath Studio: A free MATHCAD alternative for quick circuit calculations. It's easy and intuitive, with lots of tutorials on their website. STM32Cube : The Arduino IDE for Arduino-based platforms and Thonny for MicroPython are great for beginners. For the next step above, I highly recommend STMCube. It has many tutorials, templates and makes peripheral configurations and code generation easy. Bonus Tools: TeraTerm for serial data logging Octave as a MATLAB alternative FEMM for Finite Element Analysis Let me know in the comments which software you love or if you discovered something new from this list! °°° °°° °°° Like ❤️, share 📨, follow 👥 DM me for permission to repost ✔️ #engineeringtips #engineeringresources #internship #engineeringstudents #helpfultips #electricalengineering #kicad #ltspice #onshape #stm32 #arduino #micropython #matlab #gnuoctave #teraterm #femm #stmcube #smathstudio #arduinoide #arduinotutorial #arduinofun #engineeringstudent #engineeringlife #engineertools #engineeringprojects #electronics #diyelectronics

Aerospace engineers don’t all code the same… and yes, there is a hierarchy. 👇 Here’s how “Hello World” looks in the most important programming languages used across the aerospace industry — ranked from most to least used for real engineering work: 1️⃣ MATLAB — The workhorse of aerospace. Simulations, controls, dynamics, orbit propagation, optimization, data analysis. Every major aerospace team uses this: propulsion, GNC, aero, structures, mission design. If you want to get hired in aerospace, learn MATLAB first. Period. 2️⃣ Python — The rising powerhouse. Ideal for automation, data pipelines, simulation frameworks, and rapid prototyping. Tons of aerospace teams are replacing old workflows with Python because it’s flexible and fast to write. If MATLAB is the “lab notebook,” Python is the “toolbox you build in.” 3️⃣ Fortran — The grandfather that refuses to die. Still used in legacy flight dynamics codes, CFD, thermo, and structural solvers. NASA and DoD still have decades of Fortran-based models running mission-critical systems. 4️⃣ C++ — When performance matters. Onboard flight software, embedded systems, simulation engines, and anything that must run FAST and reliably. You won’t touch C++ every day, but when you do, it’s for something that actually flies. If you’re studying aerospace, or want to break into companies like SpaceX, Blue Origin, Rocket Lab, NASA, etc… this is your roadmap. 🚀 Want me to break down what each discipline uses these languages for? Put a finger down if.. you learned how to code from one of these legends👌🏽 This was one of the ways I learned how to code during my undergraduate degree👩🏽‍💻 (even to this day I refer back to these) During my undergraduate degree in Physics with Medical Physics and Bioengineering I had a coding in MATLAB module that I didn’t understand at all😭 I really disliked coding (after the module I promised myself I wouldn’t code again) - simply cause i had no idea what was going on!! Thanks to Narish i technologies I genuinely got a 1:1 in my coding module (& a 1:1 overall in my BSc ayy 🎉) .. this channel genuinely helped me so much !! I remember one time I was translating from Hindi to English to try complete an assignment. Fast forward to years later I thought myself to code in: 🔹 R 🔹 MATLAB 🔹 Python 🔹 Learning Linux/Bash Now that I work as a technology research associate principle (bioinformatician) I code most days using the above languages.. so I’m still learning to date 🙌🏽 Apart from Narish i technologies, Mike Dane (Giraffe Academy) and Prof David J. Malan (Harvard University) have helped me develop my coding skills massively 🥲 #coding #codinglife #learntocode #programming #tech #womenintech #womenintechnology #girlswhocode

Python provides built-in data structures like lists (arrays), dictionaries (hash maps), sets, and tuples, which can be used for various operations. For more complex structures, you can implement or use libraries that provide linked lists, stacks, queues, heaps, trees, and graphs. Algorithms, which are sequences of steps to solve problems, are implemented using Python’s syntax and data structures. Efficient algorithms in Python are key to optimizing performance in tasks such as searching, sorting, graph traversal, and dynamic programming. Mastering DSA in Python not only enhances problem-solving abilities but also ensures that your code runs faster and uses memory effectively, which is critical in competitive programming and real-world software development.
