FRAs an Ehretist, my goal is to help people lose 10 to 20 lbs through a transition diet (Fruits, roots and greens), not by moralising plant foods, but by understanding what creates waste in the body.
According to Arnold Ehret, weight gain is largely waste gain, caused by pus and mucus forming foods.
Ehret classified them as:
Pus forming foods
All animal flesh and animal secretions
Mucus forming foods
Fats and starches (potatoes and especially sweet potatoes being the better option)
This explains why many different diets appear to “work”:
When people lose weight on starch based or plant based diets, they’ve removed pus forming foods and often reduced heavy fats.
When people feel good on raw till 4, they’ve eliminated pus formers and limited starches and fats.
When people lose weight on carnivore or fruit plus flesh, they’ve eliminated starches and most plant fats.
In every case, weight loss happens because one or more mucus or pus forming categories is removed.
Those who feel the best and experience the most effortless fat loss are those moving toward a mucusless diet, where animal flesh, dairy, heavy starches, and excess fats are eliminated or minimized through intelligent transition.
The key is not perfection but progression.
When pus and mucus forming foods are removed or limited through a mucus-lean transition, health improves and excess weight naturally falls away.
