This is another entry in my Microloops series - short audiovisual studies built from real chemical and physical interactions observed at a micro scale. Everything you see is shaped by magnetism, fluid dynamics and light, captured in-camera and accompanied by custom sound design. Let me know if you have any questions! :)

Mushroom Skyline Made of Milk I played with water drop collision macro photography using the @miopstrigger Splash Kit to fine-tune the size of the drops, the delay between each drop, and the exact timing before the camera captures the collision. To freeze the motion, I used two @adaptalux Xenon flashes set to their lowest power for the fastest flash duration and a perfectly frozen collision. I used almond milk mixed with food coloring to create organic, mushroom-like shapes. This type of photography is incredibly addictive because you never really know what the final result will look like. Here, I created a montage of my five favorite shots and named the final image “Mushroom Skyline” — because the one in the center almost feels like the Las Vegas Stratosphere 🌃🍄 Gear used (link in bio): – Miops Splash Kit – Adaptalux Xenon Flashes – Canon R5 + RF 100mm Macro – Almond milk + food coloring #macrophotography, #waterdropphotography, #liquidphotography, #highspeedphotography, #creativephotography

These clips were created using a macro camera observing a glass slide from below, where I was experimenting with different liquids - mostly transparent ones. Carefully chosen substances and lighting made it possible to follow subtle fluid dynamics unfolding on the surface. I thought it would be nice to add some sounds and give them a new life, even if it’s just for a moment 🤓

Each specimen is carefully photographed under a microscope via dark field illumination.
