MAActivating MultiWAVE with Maths!
The “Universal” aspect of New Universal Synthesizer System refers to the fact that these modules can interact with any voltage controlled module, instrument or interface, using standard CV and Gate connections over traditional patch cables.
In this example, the Touch Gate output on a PrssPnt is connected to the Cycle input on Channel 4 of Maths, whose EOC output is patched to the Activate input on MultiWAVE.
MultiWAVE’s Channel Index out is connected to the Span CV input on PoliMATHS, set to accurately track the Channel Index voltages from MultiWAVE.
MultiWAVE’s 8 channels are being sequenced by a single channel on René (which is itself being clocked by the same cycling EOC output on Maths as is Activating MultiWAVE).
The Fall, Rate and Oscillation controls on PoliMATHS are all being modulated by MultiWAVE through Modulation Dissemination, updating per-channel per-Activation.
As PrssPnt is engaged, so too is Maths and from there the suite of NUSS modules! When the PrssPnt pad is released the NUSS modules pause while awaiting their next Activation, resulting in a playable cascade of tones. From one control signal we create many!
