Do negative thoughts come from you? No! Who would ever choose a negative thought? But they do come into your mind a lot. Just like in this video, where a perfectly clean bowl of water can easily become dirty … the same can be said about our minds. In order to eliminate the negativity, we must constantly be filling ourselves with positivity. In my book “The One Truth”, I teach you how to take your thoughts captive and renew and elevate your mind with the ultimate positive thoughts. 🎥 - @nouraridaoffical 🤍

Your brain is not broken. It’s just been trained. Most people think negative thought loops mean something is wrong with them. But in neuroscience, repetitive thinking is usually an attention-training problem, not a personality flaw. Your brain runs an attention algorithm all day long. Whatever you engage with repeatedly becomes what your brain learns to prioritize. Three major brain systems are involved in this: The salience network decides what is important. The default mode network builds ongoing stories about your life. The dopamine reward system reinforces whatever you focus on. When worry gets repeated attention, these systems start working together. Your brain marks those thoughts as important and begins scanning for more of them. That’s how negative thought loops form. Not because life is worse. But because your brain learned that worry equals engagement. The good news is that this system is highly trainable. When you deliberately focus on appreciation or positive meaning, even for a minute, you trigger dopamine and shift how the salience network tags information. Over time, the brain begins to deliver more of what it has been trained to notice. This simple exercise is one of the fastest ways to interrupt mental rumination and retrain your brain’s attention patterns. You don’t need to fight your mind. You just need to train the algorithm it’s running. How to break out of negative thought patterns ↓ Sitting, thinking, negative thoughts speeding in a spiral, exaggerating themselves, forming connections and appearing a larger-than-life devil. Your heart is beating fast, anxiety is kicking in. You are drowning in the ocean of emotions. Wake up, it’s a dream, get back into real life. How to do it? Realize that it’s a negative world your mind created. It isn’t life but mere hollow thoughts that can’t touch you. Not reality but an illusion. Not depth of life but superficial surface. Take a deep breath and slowly release the air. Relax. Tell yourself that life’s still good, I can manage it. Give your attendance to the moment. Attention: HERE AND NOW! Get back into the senses, see what your eyes see, hear what your ears hear, perceive what’s in front of you, do what you have to do and don’t forget to smile. Realize that you are on a journey, no station is permanent, no passenger is permanent, no weather is permanent. Still stuck in your negative thoughts? Ask yourself these questions to break the negative cycle: → HOW TRUE IS THIS THOUGHT? → IS THIS THOUGHT HELPING ME OR HURTING ME? → WHAT WOULD I SAY TO MY BEST FRIEND IF THEY TOLD ME THEY WERE HAVING THIS THOUGHT? → THINK OF AN ENCOURAGING MENTOR OR FRIEND IN YOUR LIFE. WHAT WOULD THEY SAY TO YOU ABOUT THIS THOUGHT? → WHERE IS THIS THOUGHT COMING FROM? → WHAT CAN I LEARN FROM THIS SITUATION THAT CAN HELP ME GROW? → WHAT AM I GRATEFUL FOR IN THIS MOMENT? Remember that you’re NOT alone, we’re all in this together. Let’s get happier & healthier together 🌞🌱 . . . . . . #negativethoughts #negative #anxiety #depression #healing #selftalk #questions #selflove #mindset

Comment “CLARITY” to unlock a free tool that helps you move forward. Thinking moves you forward. Overthinking keeps you stuck in place. One leads to progress, the other feels busy but goes nowhere. Most people are afraid to choose wrong, so they keep circling the same thought. Clarity comes from motion, not from spinning the problem longer. Make a decision and adjust while moving.

We never overthink about positive outcomes. When you’re overthinking, you’re overthinking because you’re running endless negative scenarios. You are never running endless positive scenarios. You never wake up going, “my company’s gonna make too much money. Oh my gosh, my relationship’s gonna go too well. I can’t believe it, I’m gonna get too healthy.” We’re never overwhelmed by positive scenarios. We’re always overwhelmed by negative scenarios. And so I started looking at this, okay, what’s going on in the sense of the internal world of us human beings? Here’s what happens: we fall into negative patterns, but we have to move into positive patterns. You do not fall into positive patterns. You do not fall into positive thoughts. You have to MOVE into positive thoughts. You have to move into positive behavior. So if you’re going to bring negative emotions, all you have to do is just slip into it and fall into it.

🧠 The Hidden Damage of Negativity Your thoughts physically shape your brain — for better or worse. ⚠️ The problem: • We just published a huge study on negativity bias • Constant negative thinking weakens your frontal lobes — the part of the brain responsible for focus, planning, and decision-making • Over time, your brain literally becomes wired to expect the worst 🌅 The fix: Positivity Bias Training • Start your day with: “Today is going to be a great day.” • End your day with: “What went well today?” • These simple statements reprogram your brain to search for what’s right • Your brain becomes a problem-solver — for good, not just survival ✨ It’s not magic, it’s mechanics • Do we believe in manifestation? Not in the woo-woo way. • But telling your brain what you want? That’s neuroscience. • Your brain will start looking for ways to make it true. 🧩 Bottom line: Train your brain like you train your body. Shift your focus → Shift your life. 🗣️ Speakers: @steven @doc_amen 🎵 Music: Emile Mosseri - Jacob and the Stone 🎬 Video: @thediaryofaceopodcast Contact us for credit or removal requests (no copyright intended) ©️ All rights and credits reserved to the respective owner(s).

How To Reframe Negative Thoughts… 1. Is this thought true? Is it absolutely true? Examples: “No one really likes me.” “I’m a failure.” “There is no hope for me.” “I’ll always be this way.” Etc These thoughts are a reaction from a place or trauma that you are now projecting into & onto yourself, others, & you future. Find the true facts, not the tainted opinion. 2. How do I react to this thought? Does it bring me down? Does it instill fear? Does it instill guilt or shame? Am I worried about the future or am I ripping myself because of the past? If this is your reaction (or something like it) you are reacting from a place of hurt / wound. Understanding that the reality this thought is creating is actually false, is a great place to begin the healing process. 3. Who am I without this thought? A lot of time with negative thoughts, not only do we think it but we also embody it. It becomes our identity. “I’m anxious. I’m broken. I’m fill in the blank.” Without this thought we can begin to understand who we actually are. 4. How can I reframe this thought? This is where you dig deep down, consider all you’ve thought through in the last 3 questions and make a decision to believe the positive. Believe the best about you. Be kind to yourself. Realize you aren’t these negative thoughts. Being reflective and aware can really help you begin to pinpoint when you are buying into something that isn’t true at all. From there, this will lead you to the root of it all. The place this thinking originates from. Usually from childhood and trauma. This is then the place you can talk to a therapist / trusted person and begin to work through the genesis of this thought process. Love you guys! You are what you THINK! @byron.katie
