भारत में Judicial Appointments को लेकर सवाल दोबारा गर्म हो चुके हैं। Justice Suryakant का कहना है कि वे NJAC (National Judicial Appointments Commission) को फिर से revisit करना चाहते हैं।
🔍 NJAC क्या था?
2015 में 99वें संविधान संशोधन से बनाया गया 6-सदस्यीय निकाय—
3 सदस्य न्यायपालिका से और 3 सदस्य बाहर से।
इसका मकसद था जजों की नियुक्ति को कॉलेजियम सिस्टम से हटाकर अधिक पारदर्शी बनाना।
लेकिन बाद में सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने इसे null and void घोषित कर दिया।
