MAA bucket list place you NEED to experience 🤯
This is Le Mont Saint-Michel, a fortified island village in Normandy, France 🇫🇷
My friend and I finally got the opportunity to visit this place so we drove 4 hours from Paris to see it for ourselves…and it was 100% worth it🤩
At first glance, I thought it was a castle. But after learning more, I realized it’s actually an abbey towering above a medieval village. We stayed one night nearby so we could catch both sunset and sunrise. The next day we took the shuttle in, wandered the narrow streets, and walked back. This was one of my favorite places to explore in France😌
If you’re planning to visit, late spring or early fall is best for fewer crowds. You’ll want to stay at least 1-2 nights here to explore Mont Saint Michel and the surrounding area without rushing. If you can, plan your visit around high tide during a new or full moon you can witness it truly transform back into an island🙌
