BEIt’s been an absolutely soul crushing, life shattering 2 years… which have somehow turned into a soul fulfilling, life changing, in the best way possible, experience.
Here are the main things I’ve learned and that I hope can help anyone going through something similar to what I went through.
1. Happiness is an inside job. Work hard on you, self love, self worth, self concept and doing your inner work so that no matter what your circumstances look like, you can still find peace & happiness in the chaos.
2. Forgiveness is for you, not them. Forgiveness doesn’t mean you agree with what they did, it just means you are ready to let what they did (and keep doing) no longer control you emotionally or mentally.
3. All rejection is PROTECTION & REDIRECTION.
4. This (whatever it is) is happening FOR YOU, not to you. One day you will understand why, but for now don’t focus so much on “why me?!” Instead focus on “how can I grow and become better from this?”
5. You can spend your entire life being bitter, angry and destroyed over what happened to you, or you can let it go and rebuild a better life, on your terms, full of so much happiness, peace & love. The choice is yours. You have the power to give your power away to those who hurt you, or you have the power to reclaim your energy and create something truly magical with it. Choose happy.
6. What happened in the past only has the ability to affect your present if you allow it.
And I know to the trolls on the internet it may seem like all I talk about is getting cheated on and that I need to move on with my life. But I know my truth, I know how much work I’ve done to heal from my past, and I know that hurt people, hurt people & healed people use the hurt that happened to them to help others on their healing journey. And that’s what I intend to do for the rest of my life. Heal & help. 💕
I love you & if your heart is currently broken, I’ve been where you are and I know you will feel happiness again, you just have to believe it’s possible.
