GAHave you heard about 𝗘𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 theme park in the Netherlands?🐲 I visited for the first time back in July, and I have to admit, I had no idea it existed until we started planning a family trip.
𝗘𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 is a huge amusement park themed around fairy tales, ancient myths, legends, and fables. It's older than Walt Disney World and much more affordable. We visited for the day, but you could easily spend 2 days exploring the park due to its size. Whether you love the thrill of a rollercoaster, you're a fairy tale enthusiast, or just want a fun day out, there's something for everyone.
🎢 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗜 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸: it was super clean, the maximum wait time for a ride was 30 minutes, the food options and prices were reasonable, and there's a variety of things to do.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲?📍Efteling, Kaatsheuvel, Netherlands
✈️ We flew into Amsterdam Schipol Airport as it was the most convenient, but Eindhoven is equally as close.
🚉 We then took the train to a town named 's-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch), which took around 50 minutes
🚍 Head to the bus station in Den Bosch and look for the 300, 301, 136, or 800 buses as they stop at the theme park and take around 20 minutes

TI✨Efteling✨ This magical theme park in the Netherlands is almost 100 years old and still (in our opinion) the best theme park in Europe.
Only two hours from Amsterdam and accessible by public transport (we took the train from Amsterdam to 's-Hertogenbosch then a bus straight outside the station will take you just over half an hour to the entrance)
You could also access Efteling via Flix bus from Brussels if you were taking the Eurostar or also from Amsterdam.
We have visited the park before for the winter Efteling so we were interested to see how it would feel in the summer! Whilst Xmas at Efteling is SO magical there are lots of perks of visiting in the summer like playing in the splash parks, beers and ice creams in the sun and getting more daylight out of the park too!
We were really surprised by how many veggie and vegan options there were. My top tip would be to ask at Polles kitchen for the plant based pancake. It isn't obvious from the menu they do one but they do! It's also made in a separate area to the other food 👌
My tip would also be to carry some Euros although the park is cashless because the souvenir coin slots are really fun. There are three to try and you can find them at Anton Pieckplein Square. Also of course you need to get a golden coin from the donkeys bum too 😂
We stayed in the hotel this time round which included breakfast (Mabli very much enjoyed eating what was basically hundreds and thousands on toast for breakfast) but also gives you early access to the park before general admission.
That being said the only time we had to queue was for the swan boat ride and that was maybe a ten minute wait! (Note we visited during the week in UK term time)
We had a fantastic time again at Efteling and would highly recommend it if you are visiting the Netherlands!
