What exactly is the difference between a CPU, GPU and TPU? Here is it explained simply with real world examples so you never forget it in a meeting, interview or talking to friends. A CPU like the one in your laptop or phone is a versatile processor with a few powerful cores. It’s great for handling all kinds of tasks: browsing the web, running apps, editing documents.

And while CPUs do support some parallelism like multiple cores and vector instructions they mostly focus on versatility over scale. For AI training, which demands billions of heavy matrix operations, that’s just not enough power. A GPU, like the one in your gaming PC or PlayStation, is built for a different job.
Originally designed for graphics rendering handling thousands of pixels and textures at once GPUs are masters of parallelism. With thousands of smaller cores, they process massive numbers of calculations at the same time. That makes them perfect for AI training Then there’s the TPU, Tensor Processing Unit, engineered by Google specifically for AI workloads. Unlike GPUs, which are general-purpose accelerators, TPUs are laser-focused: they use specialized designs like systolic arrays, which move data through the chip like an assembly line, rapidly multiplying and processing tensors for AI tasks. You’ll find TPUs inside Google’s data centers, powering services like Google Translate and training massive AI models like Gemini.   #tech #techexplained #techeducation

Researchers from Tsinghua University just broke a 41 year theoretical barrier in computer science. They discovered a faster way to solve the single source shortest path problem, a core algorithm behind GPS navigation, network routing, logistics, and massive graph systems. Since 1984, theory suggested sorting based limits could not be beaten. This new work shows that assumption was wrong for sparse graphs. Even more surprising, the algorithm is deterministic, not randomized, and works in the standard comparison model. The result won Best Paper at STOC 2025, authored by Ran Duan and collaborators. In practical demos, similar techniques already solve real map routes in seconds. At scale, this could mean much faster navigation and routing across the internet and real world systems. Sometimes progress takes decades. Then it collapses all at once.Researchers from Tsinghua University just broke a 41 year theoretical barrier in computer science. 🚨 PART 13: Your Phone is Sending Data You Don't Know About! 🚨 Hidden system tracing is collecting your app activity and sending it to third parties. Here's how to STOP IT and boost your memory: 📱 STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS: PART 1: Enable Developer Mode 1. Open Settings 2. Tap "About Phone" 3. Select "Software Version" (or "Software Information") 4. Tap "Build Number" 7 times rapidly 5. Enter your PIN/password when prompted 6. "Developer Mode Enabled!" message appears ✅ PART 2: Stop System Tracing 7. Go Back to main Settings 8. Scroll down to "Developer Options" (bottom of settings) 9. Tap to open Developer Options 10. Scroll down and find "System Tracing" 11. Tap "System Tracing" to open 12. Turn OFF "Trace Debuggable Applications" ⛔ PART 3: Optimize Memory & Clear Data 13. In System Tracing, tap "Per CPU Buffer Size" 14. Select the 1st option (smallest buffer = more memory) 15. Tap "Clear Saved Traces" 16. Confirm to delete all saved trace data 🛡️ WHAT YOU JUST DID: ✅ Stopped background data collection - No more app activity tracking ✅ Blocked third-party data sharing - Your usage stays private ✅ Increased available memory - Reduced buffer = more RAM ✅ Cleared trace history - Deleted all previously collected data ✅ Enhanced privacy - Reduced digital footprint 🔍 WHY THIS MATTERS: System Tracing collects: ❌ Which apps you use and when ❌ How long you use each app ❌ App performance data ❌ Background app activity ❌ System resource usage patterns This data can be: ❌ Sent to app developers ❌ Shared with third-party analytics companies ❌ Used for targeted advertising ❌ Stored indefinitely on servers 💡 BENEFITS YOU'LL NOTICE: ⚡ Slightly better battery life (less background logging) ⚡ More free RAM (smaller trace buffer) ⚡ Better privacy (no activity tracking) ⚡ Faster performance (less background processes) 🔄 SHARE THIS NOW! Most people don't even know Developer Options exist, let alone system tracing! Comment 🔒 if you turned this off! Comment 😱 if you had no idea this was running! Tag an Android user who needs to see this! 👇 Part 13 of our privacy series - Follow for more! #AndroidPrivacy #PrivacySettings #DeveloperOptions #AndroidTips #PhoneSecurity

Comment “NETWORK” to get links! 🌐 Want to truly understand how the internet works, not just memorize definitions? This mini roadmap will take you from zero to confident in computer networking, step by step. 📚 Start with the OSI model and real life examples so you can visualize what actually happens when you send a request, open an app or join a call. 🧩 Then go deeper into bits, bytes, IP addressing, ports, TCP IP, routing, switching and the core protocols every backend, cloud and devops engineer must know. 🎓 These videos are perfect if you are preparing for coding interviews, CCNA style questions, system design, or just want to build a solid foundation for Kubernetes, microservices and scalable backend systems. 💡 Tip: watch with notes on, pause and sketch the network flows yourself. Recreate the examples and explain each layer out loud as if you were teaching a friend. 🚀 Save this post so you can come back to the roadmap and share it with someone who still thinks networking is just wifi. Your future self as an engineer will thank you.
