LEI had an itch to make a jacket but make it wild and cool so I made this! I used the boxy jacket pattern by @_lostfabric. I quilted five panels that I used for my pattern pieces and then sewed it all together. I have several modifications I’ll be making on the next one but for my first go at it I’m really happy! I have really come to love quilting and sewing. Idk what it is but the ironing aspect of it all really is so much fun, like sure sew the seams and make the piece, yes that’s a lot of fun but the pressing is where the piece comes to life and there’s something that my ultra detailed brain just LOVES about it. I have some wool batting that I’m going to use to make another one, probably a bit longer and maybe more subdued but who knows, I’ll get into the design flow and it’ll be something wild and interesting. Stay tuned for that

_LWhen I designed the Boxy Jacket sewing pattern I had 3 things in mind:
1. Designed with vintage and second hand fabrics in mind
2. A pattern that’s simple, straightforward and NO FAFF - unintimidating & accessible to all
3. The jacket would suit all body shapes - a flattering boxy shape
Honestly, seeing what you’ve made with the pattern makes it all worth it. The jackets are incredible - keep those photos and videos coming! 🥰👏
