Understanding offensive language doesn’t make you rude, it makes you prepared. ❌️ I don’t teach offensive language to promote it. ✅️ I teach it so my students don’t freeze when they hear it. Understanding ≠ using. Context ≠ encouragement. 🎯 If this makes you uncomfortable, that’s exactly the point. 👉 Would you want your teacher to teach this? Yes or no? 👀 Let me know in the comments. The way you describe your English shapes how you speak it. "I freeze in meetings." >>>> "I need a 30-second warm-up before meetings." Reframing doesn't deny the problem. It makes it workable. LANGUAGE INFLUENCES PERFORMANCE!

HERE: ⤵️ You lose access to English because you’ve conditioned yourself to go into control mode when the stakes go up. That’s years of: - don’t make mistakes - do it right - play it safe - don’t speak unless 100% certain So, expecting that a bit of practice will solve an inner problem is amateur thinking. Low, apologetic, “hide-myself” energy produces → weak first impressions, even when the ideas are strong. Low, apologetic, “hide-myself” energy produces → over-explaining, under-leading, and being quietly ignored. Low, apologetic, hide-myself energy produces → the version of you that sounds smaller than your actual level. This is a conditioned performance pattern. And like any pattern you trained into your system, it can be trained out of it. When you change what you’ve conditioned yourself to do under pressure, your authority stops being something you try to prove and starts being something the room feels before you even speak. In English Advantage Skool this is exactly what we train. 💪 Reps > Overthinking

A lot of my students start like this. Short answers, “yes”, “no”, “I don’t know”, and the conversation just doesn’t move. It’s not about low level and it’s not about vocabulary. Most of the time it’s fear, overthinking and translating everything in your head before you speak. And that’s completely normal. The important part is that they don’t stay like this. Step by step the answers get longer, opinions appear, jokes come naturally and real conversations start happening. Speaking is a skill, not a personality trait. If you see yourself in this video, you’re not bad at English. You just need the right kind of practice. If you’re ready to move from one-word answers to real conversations, message me.

He seems confident, He comes across as confident, He comes off as confident… What’s the difference in meaning between these three sentences? In English, we use the verbs “seem,” “come across” and “come off” to talk about the general impression that a person or thing gives us, but we don’t exactly use them in the same way, and that’s why I wanted to explain the differences in their meanings in today’s video 😊 Below, you’ll find the meanings of each verb and an example sentence with each one: 1. seem = we use this verb to make a personal observation about a person or thing’s general appearance or vibe; in other words, if you say that a person seems happy, this means that they seem happy TO YOU, so it’s a personal opinion. Also, we use “seem” to say that we think something’s true, but we don’t know for sure. So, this verb is more hesitant and more polite than “come across” and “come off”: He seemed a little down this morning and I asked him if he was okay, but he didn’t want to talk to me. 2. come across (as) = when we use this verb, we’re focusing on how someone communicates and behaves, as well as how their communication and behavior is PERCEIVED by everyone in general. We use “seem” to talk about our own personal opinion, but we use “come across” to talk about how everyone perceives a certain person or thing. Also, we typically use “come across” when talking about our first impression of a person after meeting them, but we don’t typically use “seem” in this situation. And keep in mind that we can use either a noun or an adjective after “come across as,” but we can also use “come across” alone: I’ve been told by many people that what I say sometimes comes across as sarcastic. He didn’t want to come across as a know-it-all, so he let other people answer the teacher’s questions. 3. come off (as) = this phrasal verb has more or less the exact same meaning as “come across,” but it’s more informal, and we often (but not always) use it when talking about negative impressions that a person or thing gives unintentionally: I don’t know why, but I think I always come off as awkward whenever I meet new people. #esl #learnenglish #advancedenglish

Vocabulary used: 🔶️Ticked off (slang) = very upset and frustrated 🔶️Hold someone up (phrasal verb) = make someone wait 🔶️Move (verb) = set off 🔶️Off you pop (idiom) = can be used both in a playful and polite way. It can also be used in a dismissive manner intended to offend the person. It means you're not needed. Off you go. Good-for-nothing (idiom) = a lazy or useless person Example: After decades of lies, blood and stolen furures, your time is up Islamic Republic! So go on, off you pop and take your corruption with you. ✍️ Who has recently got on your nerves (playful or serious) that you want to tell them: off you pop? 💚🤍❤️

your brain doesn’t execute skills, it executes identity. You can know a ton of English and still choke in a meeting, not because you forgot the words, but because in that moment you’re playing the role of “don’t mess this up” instead of “I’ve got this.” Your body goes into protect-yourself mode, you start overthinking, and everything feels harder than it should. Same English, different version of you running the show. When you show up as the confident, relaxed version, your words just… work. And if you don’t train that identity, you’ll keep collecting skills you can’t use when it counts. 🫶

👄Think your accent is the problem? 👄It might actually be how your mouth is moving. 👄English pronunciation is physical; tongue, jaw, lips, and breath all shape your clarity.
