We’ve been keeping a little secret… and today we’re so excited to finally share it with you. Over the past three years, Claire and Jemma have poured so much love and passion into creating phonics activities that help children discover the joy of learning through play and everyday moments. Sounds Fun Resources started as a small idea between two teacher-mums and has since grown into something far bigger than they ever imagined. Not only are Claire and Jemma two incredibly hardworking and wonderful women, they’ve built a brand I truly believe in. So I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve joined the team as Creative Director. What started as conversations turned into a friendship, a shared purpose, and now a partnership. I’ve always loved championing small businesses, but now I get to be part of one. Today we’re also incredibly proud to launch our rebrand and introduce you to Soundlings - where little readers grow. Our products are designed to create simple moments of connection between parent and child, encouraging learning through play and offering screen-free fun - whether it’s at the dinner table, on a plane, train or on holiday. At the heart of Soundlings is a simple idea: helping children discover the joy of reading from an early age. I started using Soundlings phonics activities with Noa when she was nearly three, and seeing how much she’s enjoyed them has made me really excited to share them with other parents and help make early reading feel a little more accessible and fun. Over the past year we’ve spent countless hours reimagining everything - from flashcards to activity books, card games and wall art. While the heart behind the brand remains exactly the same, we’ve elevated the look and feel to give everything that extra sparkle. Soundlings is now more than just phonics activities - it’s becoming a growing world of characters, stories and ideas designed to make learning through play even more magical. I’ve added the cvc words after each picture slide so my students can check their spelling of each word. This is a great way to review short vowel sounds.
