What would happen if a massive asteroid crashed into Mars? ☄️🔴 Asteroid impacts can release energy equal to millions of nuclear bombs, creating giant explosions and massive craters on planetary surfaces. Scientists believe that huge asteroid collisions shaped many planets in our solar system — including Mars. This cinematic animation shows what a giant asteroid impact on the Red Planet might look like. 🌌 Follow Learn with Adeesha for more space discoveries, science animations, and amazing universe facts. 👍 Like | Follow | Subscribe for more fascinating science! #Mars #AsteroidImpact #SpaceScience #Astronomy #PlanetExplosion #SpaceFacts #Universe #ScienceForKids #LearnWithAdeesha #Cosmos

The planets of our solar system are not alone as they travel around the Sun; most are accompanied by natural satellites, or moons, each with its own story. Mercury and Venus have no moons, likely due to their proximity to the Sun and weak gravitational hold. Earth has one large Moon, which stabilizes our planet’s tilt and drives ocean tides. Mars has two small, irregular moons Phobos and Deimos probably captured asteroids. Beyond the asteroid belt, the giant planets dominate in moons: Jupiter, with over 90 known moons, including the volcanic Io, icy Europa, massive Ganymede, and cratered Callisto; Saturn, famous for its rings, hosts moons like Titan with a thick atmosphere and Enceladus with water-ice geysers; Uranus has moons such as Titania and Oberon, shaped by icy geology; and Neptune is orbited by Triton, a retrograde moon hinting at capture. Together, planets and their satellites form miniature systems within the solar system, revealing how gravity sculpts worlds at every scale 🌍🌕🪐 #planetary #satellitesystem #spaceknowledge #cosmology #astronomy

🌌 *The Helix Nebula: Cosmic Eye* - Gazing into the depths of space, the Helix Nebula (NGC 7293) resembles a giant, celestial eye staring back. Located 650 light-years away in Aquarius, it's one of the closest planetary nebulae to Earth 😮 🔭 *A Star's Final Bow* - This stunning structure is the remnant of a Sun-like star shedding its outer layers, creating intricate gas and dust patterns. In this powerful interview clip, Neil deGrasse Tyson explains why Isaac Newton is considered the greatest scientist in human history. Tyson breaks down how Newton didn’t just discover gravity—but also laid the foundations of laws of motion, optics, and even invented calculus to solve the mysteries of planetary motion. This is not just a science lesson, but a reminder of how one human mind reshaped our understanding of the universe forever. From falling apples to orbiting planets, Newton’s ideas still govern modern physics today. #NeilDeGrasseTyson #IsaacNewton #ScienceHistory #GreatestScientist #Gravity LawsOfMotion Optics Calculus Physics Cosmos Universe ScienceExplained JWST Astrophysics

Jupiter’s Great Red Spot is a vast anticyclonic storm that has been continuously observed for over 300 years. It measures roughly 16,000 kilometers across, making it wider than Earth’s diameter. Wind speeds inside the storm can exceed 400 km/h, driven by Jupiter’s powerful atmospheric circulation. Although the storm has been slowly shrinking in recent decades, it remains the largest and longest-lasting storm in the solar system. #jupiter #greatredspot #planetary #science #astronomy #space #solarsystem #facts #nature #knowledge

Not all worlds are alone. Some planets collect companions like secrets. Moons are not decorations — they are archives of planetary history. Five things hiding behind Earth’s night sky: 1. Moons are survivors. Most formed from violent beginnings — collisions, captures, near-destructions. Our Moon likely came from a Mars-sized impact that rewrote Earth’s destiny. 2. Size rewrites rules. Ganymede and Titan are larger than Mercury. If they orbited the Sun, we’d call them planets. Context changes identity. 3. Gravity curates life. Earth’s single Moon stabilizes our axial tilt. Without it, climate would swing chaotically — ice ages and deserts trading places in centuries, not millennia. 4. Some moons are active worlds. Europa hides a global ocean under ice. Enceladus sprays water into space. Triton orbits backward, whispering that it was captured, not born. 5. Moon counts reveal power. Giant planets hoard moons because gravity favors the strong. Jupiter and Saturn don’t just orbit the Sun — they run mini solar systems. The surprising truth: Astronomers now treat moons as prime candidates for life. Not planets — moons. Some may host oceans, chemistry, even energy cycles more stable than Earth’s. Alchemical layer: A planet is substance. A moon is memory. Together, they form a system — not by chance, but by resonance. Alchemy teaches this: what surrounds you shapes what you become. — Kovalev Alchemica Follow @alchemist_kovalev to read the universe not as space — but as process 🌑✨

The International Space Station transiting in front of Jupiter, the perfect Alignment! This video shows a lil behind the scenes on capturing The ISS and Jupiter I used the planetary app Stellarium and Google maps in order to calculate the path of the ISS and figure out exactly where I needed to be to capture the alignment. If I was even Just a few dozen feet off, the ISS would have flown either above or below the planet, no transit. Used my 9.25 Celestron telescope attached with a high speed astronomy camera to capture high frame rate video. And from the frames I was able to stack them and get a clearer image of the moment of Transit! #astrophotography #california #Jupiter #iss #Astro
