Still can’t believe how this one turned out.
I waited a long time to get this Pink Princess…
And when I finally brought her home I realized something, I ended up with two more plants from the original pot.
This one needed two repots though. Here’s what I did:
• After separating her from the others, I mixed a well-draining soil that still holds enough moisture to keep her happy.
• I placed her in a sturdy clear pot and carefully centered the plant.
• Then I backfilled the soil and gently compacted it.
• The clear pot lets me see exactly what’s happening with the roots, so I water when the soil is about 50% dry.
A few months later the plant fell from the shelf and I had to repot her again. This time adding a cedar plank to give her some support as she grows.
Since then, I’ve continued watering when the soil reaches about 50% dry, and she’s growing great.
