From below, a smaller mold shaped like a cozy foot and leg tub rises up and stretches the soft plastic over its curves. When the mold reaches full height, a strong vacuum turns on and sucks the plastic tightly into every corner. That creates the smooth inner and outer walls of the mini hot tub in one step. As it cools, the material hardens into a tough, duromer style shell that can handle warm water, repeated cleaning and daily use in beauty salons or wellness studios. So though it seems daunting, remember when it comes to microplastics in your body THE LESS THE BETTER. Every effort just makes you healthier. Don’t stress it either, because stress is more unhealthy for your body than microplastics are. I see this as a joy and an excuse to buy less and be minimalist, for my family’s health and the planet.
