The journey begins with securing at least 51% member consent to initiate redevelopment. - The appointment of a Project Management Consultant (PMC), who prepares the feasibility report and evaluates plot potential, must also be approved through an SGM. - Shortlisting and selecting a developer is another critical stage where bids, financial capacity, past track record, and timelines should be transparently presented before members vote. - Once finalized, the Development Agreement (DA) and PAAA require formal approval to legally lock in carpet area, rent, corpus, and possession timelines. Even the final step — vacating the building — requires written consent from members. - In redevelopment, structured meetings, proper documentation, and independent legal oversight are not procedural formalities — they are what legally protect the society and ensure the project moves forward without disputes.
