WEThe average pool owner spends about $3,200 a year just to keep their pool running.
She refused to accept that.
Instead of expensive pool chemicals, she used baking soda the same core compound, but for a fraction of the cost.
When the pool skimmer broke, she stretched pantyhose over it and kept it working without buying a replacement.
For the pool cover?
She skipped the pricey option and used bubble wrap instead trapping heat, cutting evaporation, and saving hundreds on water.
But the real enemy was electricity.
Running the pool filter alone added $200 a month to the power bill.
So she built a zero-cost solution.
She bought a $25 used bike, hooked it to an old car alternator, and rigged it to power the pool filter. After multiple failures and plenty of doubt from her family, it finally worked.
As the filter kicked on, she smiled and said:
💬 “That’s the sound of saving money. It’s like coins dropping into my wallet.”
Takeaway: Wealth isn’t always about earning more sometimes it’s about refusing to overpay.
