Back when David Goggins did 5 pull-ups every 5 seconds for as long as he could — after already knocking out 100 pull-ups in 10 minutes. What would be a full workout for most people was just the warm-up. Instead of stopping, he turned it into another mental test, stacking fatigue on purpose and seeing how long discipline could overpower exhaustion. A perfect example of how he trains: not to feel good, but to find the breaking point — and live there a little longer. #motivation #mentality #discipline #mindset #goggins

(Read below for workout). __ 1️⃣ Grip strength goes through the roof Unlike a bar, a rope is thick and unstable. Your hands, fingers, and wrists have to constantly squeeze to keep you from slipping. 👉 This builds: • Crushing grip strength • Finger flexor strength • Wrist stability That’s why your forearms feel blown up after. 2️⃣ Massive forearm development Because you’re gripping a thick rope, your forearm muscles stay under constant tension the whole set — no resting at the top like with a bar. This builds: • Thicker forearms • Tendon strength • Real-world pulling strength 3️⃣ More back muscle activation The instability forces your lats, rhomboids, and traps to work harder to control your body. Compared to regular pull-ups: ✅ More lat engagement ✅ More mid-back activation ✅ Better mind-muscle connection 4️⃣ Core has to lock in Your body wants to swing — your abs and obliques have to brace hard to stay tight.
