ADSenioritis feels harmless in the moment... It isn’t.
Every college acceptance you receive is conditional. Universities expect you to finish senior year with the same rigor, grades, and behavior that earned you admission in the first place. A sudden slide in performance, dropping hard classes, or disciplinary issues can absolutely put your offer at risk.
This is the part of the college admissions process most seniors underestimate. Schools continue to monitor your transcript and conduct through graduation. A few careless decisions late in the year can undo years of hard work.
If something does go wrong, don’t panic and disappear. Communicate early. Reach out to the university, understand the appeal process, and involve your school counselor. In some cases, thoughtful advocacy and accountability can make a difference.
But the simplest strategy is the one most students forget: stay steady. Finish strong. Protect the opportunities you’ve already earned.
