SHI started hand-writing Scripture.
Copying word for word, chapter by chapter into a notebook.
I was struggling to stick with a reading plan or stay focused when I would dive into Scripture with a newborn. It was too easy to let my thoughts run wild or let anxiety and comparison whisper louder than the Truth. So I started writing in January and have been surprised at the impact it has made.
The act itself forces me to slow down and absorb.
To pause and breathe as I form each letter.
To focus - not just on completing a reading plan but lingering on the pages.
Each word feels intentional.
Each promise feels more personal.
I’m reminded of who God is - and who I am in Him.
It’s not about having the perfect quiet time during this season. It’s not about doing it “right”.
It’s about anchoring my heart in Truth when everything else feels so unpredictable.
It’s about being present in His presence.
Finding His peace in the middle of it all.
New seasons can feel chaotic but His Word is constant.
Writing it down helps me carry that peace with me even after the pen leaves the paper.
And maybe one day I can give this hand-written Bible to my little one.
This is a gentle nudge - try it out - even just a few verses at a time can steady your heart and transform your life. 🤍

AD - We’ve been doing this little quiet time routine for months now, and adding the Yoto Player has honestly been such a great addition.

ASSometimes the sky feels like a glimpse of heaven. This morning it looked as if God brushed the clouds with pink and blue cotton, soft and gentle like a whispered hymn.
I think of David often in moments like this. How peaceful it must have been to live without the noise, the billboards, the rush. Just a man, his harp, the sheep, and the open sky. No distraction. No comparison. Just creation and the Creator.
When life feels too full, I try to remember what David must have felt watching the sunrise, writing psalms from the quiet hillsides. The same God who painted his sky still paints ours.
