sesame balls 😮‍💨 cant lie i like red bean filling more i messed up the chocolate - here’s how you can make: - combine 200g glutinous rice flour, 25 g sugar, pinch of salt - slowly pour in 150g boiling water while mixing - knead around until its a smooth dough - roll it into a log, and cut them into ~30g balls - flatten the ball and place your choice of filling inside - popular fillings are red bean paste, black sesame paste, i tried using a chocolate ganache situation but i definitely overcooked it - next time i’ll freeze the balls so they stay cooler while the outside cooks - Coat the outside of the balls with raw sesame seeds soaked in water - fry at a low heat (270f) until the outside is set - then crank the heat to 350f and fry until golden brown - be careful because they can explode lol #uwansum #foodasmr

Red Bean Paste for Mooncake Mooncake season is now. The store-bought paste is kind of sweet, so I will make it myself. Here is my experience over the past 2 years: 1. Avoid organic beans, they make me feel like cooking forever.. Adzuki bean works the best 2. Tried a few times, but ended up preferring to cook my red beans in a Fotile one oven over Thermomix. The bean gets softened more easily. Without pre-soak, it will still cook, just need to extend the cooking time a bit more. If you want to cook with TM, you can try 1 hour / Varoma / Reverse Spoon with pre-soak at least 4 hours or overnight. 3.All cooking time for your reference, it really depends on the bean you have bought. To obtain the desired texture, you must monitor. 4. For the original flavor, substitute the rose paste with maltose. Where to buy rose jam? Shopee, search by keyword “edible rose jam” 5. I don’t measure the water, but roughly add water to the beans twice their height when cooking in a fotile one oven. If you want to measure will be around 500-600g of water. 6. Since Fotile one oven doesn’t have the stew function, you can cook with Steam 100C 2 hours instead. . . . #redbeanpaste #thermomix #fotileoneoven #redbean #stew #rose

And if u have YOU HAVE TO TRY especially if you have a sweet tooth 🦷 1 cup (200g) azuki red beans ¾ to 1 cup (150–200g) sugar (adjust to taste) 1/8 tsp salt Simplified Steps: Rinse & Soak (Optional): Rinse azuki beans. Soaking is optional, but it can reduce cooking time. Boil & Drain: Add beans to a pot, cover with water, bring to boil, then discard the water. Cook Beans: Refill with fresh water, simmer for about 1–1.5 hours until soft. Add water as needed. Drain & Mash (for Koshi-an): Koshi-an (smooth paste): Mash beans and strain through a sieve with water to remove skins, then drain well. Tsubu-an (chunky paste): Skip straining; mash lightly or leave whole beans. Sweeten: Return beans/paste to pot, add sugar and salt, cook over medium heat until thickened.
