Most people don’t cross limits because they are evil. They cross limits because none were clearly placed. Setting boundaries will make some people uncomfortable. That’s usually the point. Anyone who benefits from your silence will resist your limits. Remember this You are not responsible for managing other people’s reactions. You are responsible for protecting your peace. 👉 Check the link in my bio for private support to break free from toxic patterns and relationships 👈 ❣️ Follow for more ❣️ #emotionalintelligence #innerwork #healing #relationships #relationship

Nightmares often feel like they end at the exact moment something scary is about to happen, but that timing isn’t random. Most vivid dreams occur during REM sleep, a stage where brain activity is almost as active as when you’re awake. During this stage, the brain areas responsible for emotions, especially the amygdala, are highly active, which is why dreams can feel intense or threatening. When something frightening happens in a dream, your brain can trigger a rapid spike in alertness. Your heart rate increases, stress hormones rise, and your brain essentially flips from REM sleep to full wakefulness. This protective response is similar to a fight-or-flight reaction, which is why people often wake up right at the scariest moment. Researchers have found that nightmares are especially common during the second half of the night, when REM sleep periods get longer. That’s why many people remember waking up suddenly from a nightmare, often with their heart racing and the dream still feeling incredibly real. This video is for educational purposes only. We’ve been taught to think of music as “just entertainment.” But when a child studies music, something much deeper is happening. Music strengthens the parts of the brain responsible for: - language - memory - attention - emotional expression And the longer a child stays in music, the bigger the impact: - 1 year = 11% increased academic performance - 4 years = +23% That’s not fluff. That’s BRAIN DEVELOPMENT. Music doesn’t change your child’s brain overnight. It grows it, layer by layer, year by year. If your child is drawn to music, listen to that signal. Their brain already knows what it needs. This is what it takes to be a neurosurgeon. 🧠 Watch the precision. Every single movement is deliberate, controlled, and calculated. There is no room for error — not even a millimeter of it. Neurosurgeons operate in spaces smaller than a grain of rice, on structures responsible for everything that makes you human. Your ability to move, speak, think, feel, remember — all of it runs through the tissue they're working on. One wrong cut doesn't mean a complication. It can mean paralysis. It can mean loss of speech. It can mean the person on that table never wakes up the same. That's not pressure. That's the job. Every single day. The average neurosurgeon trains for 14-16 years before they're trusted to operate alone. Their hands are insured. Their focus is inhuman. Their margin for error is zero. Now you know why they get paid what they get paid. 💡 ✅Follow @drdavidabbasi for More Daily Medical Content & Health Tips! 🌴😷Schedule a consultation to see Dr. Abbasi as a patient in Delray Beach! Knowing how lock mechanisms work can be genuinely useful for practical and responsible reasons. Understanding the basics of lock picking helps people learn how everyday security systems function, which makes it easier to choose stronger locks, spot weak designs, and better protect homes and property. It can also be helpful in legitimate situations, such as getting back into your own house after losing keys, assisting family members in emergencies, or working in professions like maintenance, property management, or security testing. Beyond that, it teaches patience, problem-solving, and mechanical awareness, much like learning any technical skill. When approached ethically and legally, the knowledge is less about bypassing security and more about appreciating how to improve it and stay prepared for unexpected situations.

In Spider-Man: Far From Home, there’s a hilarious moment when Peter Parker asks Happy Hogan for his phone password. Happy casually says it’s literally “password.” The funny part? He’s technically responsible for security, yet he’s using the most basic password imaginable. It’s such a relatable moment because most of us have definitely chosen simple passwords just so we won’t forget them later. Sometimes convenience wins over security — and honestly, our forgetful brains totally understand Happy’s logic. Your child’s brain is literally growing every time they push through a hard moment. Here’s what’s happening inside…” Science backs what we see on the mat every day. When a child faces discomfort and chooses to keep going, their brain releases dopamine and builds new neural pathways for grit and self-control. Stress becomes manageable. Fear becomes fuel. As a martial arts school and a community of parents, we see it weekly — the child who cried in week one becomes the kid encouraging others by month three. Resilience isn’t something kids are born with. It’s trained. 🧠🥋 Tag a parent who needs to see this. ⬇️. #FlowerMoundMartialArts #ParentsCornerCoach #KidsWhoTrain #MartialArtsKidsFlowerMound #dragonclawculture

In 1994, researchers at the Karolinska Institute studied the physiological mechanics of crying. They discovered that tear release is controlled by the Parasympathetic Nervous System, the branch responsible for rest, digestion, and collapse states. Crying is a Ventral Vagal response. It requires the body to temporarily let go of vigilance and enter a state of vulnerability. One therapist who specializes in trauma described it this way: «My clients will say, ‘I want to cry. I can feel the pressure. But nothing comes out.’ That is not emotional strength. That is the body refusing to collapse because it does not feel safe enough.» The mechanism: If you grew up in an environment where crying was punished, mocked, or ignored, your nervous system learned to suppress the Parasympathetic response. Crying signals surrender, and surrender feels dangerous. The Sympathetic Nervous System (fight-or-flight) inhibits the lacrimal glands to prevent you from entering a vulnerable state. The tears are there. The grief is there. But the dam will not open because your body is still in defense mode. You are not strong for holding it in. You are stuck in a protective freeze. Have you noticed that you can feel the emotion building but your body will not release it? We may never cross paths again. Follow so you don’t lose me - @iamarianmateo
