Perfectly blistered, glossy, salty-sweet, and somehow better than the main dish. If you’ve eaten there, you already know exactly what I’m talking about. Same flavor. Same drama. Zero reservation required. Save this for the next time you want a side dish that steals the show 💚 Recipe below ⬇️ Ingredients 1-2 Lbs fresh green beans trimmed 2 tbsp. avocado oil 8-10 @kosher_taste garlic cloves For the glaze: 3 tbsp. Sesame oil 1/4 cup soy sauce or tamari 2 tbsp sugar or honey 2 small lemons zested and juiced (can use only 1 lemon if you don’t like it too tangy) Salt Optional sesame seeds or chili flakes Instructions Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil Add green beans and cook 5-7 minutes until bright green and crisp Drain and immediately transfer to ice water Process the garlic cloves with the oil till spoonable. Heat a wide skillet or wok over high heat Add oil to coat bottom of pan. Once shimmering add green beans in a single layer Let sit undisturbed 1 to 2 minutes until blistered Toss and repeat once more Add garlic directly to the pan and cook and toss for 1-2 minutes until fragrant Remove green beans to serving bowl. In same dirty pan , add soy sauce coconut sugar and sesame oil . Toss quickly until glossy and sugar is melted Pour over the green beans. Garlic String Beans Ingredients * 1 lbs string beans * 8-10 garlic cloves * Neutral oil for frying * Salt to taste * 1/2 tsp msg * 1/4 tsp white pepper Instructions 1. Wash and cut the ends off of string beans then thoroughly dry them with a paper towel. 2. Finely mince garlic and heat a wok or pot filled half way with oil until it reaches 375°F. 3. Flash fry string beans in batches for 45 seconds or until they start to blister. Remove and place on a paper towel lined tray. Wait for oil to reheat before frying next batch. 4. Remove oil saving a couple of tbsp to sauté the garlic. On medium heat, sauté garlic until fragrant(1 min) then add the string beans. 5. Well, making string beans that are crispy, sweet, and beautiful is as 1) a short cooking time, 2) a cold ice bath, and 3)...actually, that’s pretty much it! This is my go-to summer green bean dish because the texture is unmatched. If you have more mature beans with bulging seeds, this is a good way to cooked them to get the beans tender. You’ll need: 1 lb green beans 1/2 cup oil (for wok frying method, 1/4 cup for shallow frying, 2 1/2 tbs for air frying) 2 1/2 tbsp minced garlic 1/4 tsp garlic salt (or sea salt) chili crisp (optional, my chili oil is great for this too!) I’m a huge lover of roasting all veggies…425F is my jam. But I am not a huge lover of green beans. It’s not that I don’t like them. I do, but I’m not in love with them…. Until I began to roast them and then my mind changed real quick. Sort of was a game changer for me. And then I saw Chelsea @chelseasmessyapron take the extra step of adding Parmesan and panko to the beans before roasting them and now I just don’t want them any other way. And I’m pretty sure you’re gonna feel the same way. Full disclosure, I may or may not have eaten this entire bowl . . Roasted Parmesan Panko Greenbeans . .
1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed 
2 tbls olive oil
1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp onion powder 
1/2 tsp oregano salt and pepper to taste
1/3 cup panko breadcrumbs 
1/3 cup grated Parmesan 2 cloves grated garlic Preheat oven to 425F. Line a baking sheet with parchment and drizzle with olive oil. Add the beans that have been dried well to a large bowl. Add 2 tbls olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt and pepper and toss to combine. Add Panko. Parmesan and garlic and then toss again to evenly coat the beans. Place the coated beans evenly in one layer on the baking sheet being careful not to pile them on each other. Sprinkle any of the remaining Parmesan and Panko from the bowl evenly over the beans. Drizzle with olive oil and roast for 15 minutes or until beans are crisp-tender and Panko is golden. Serve with lemon wedges
