RUKokani Delicacy Roat (semolina cake)
NO MAIDA , NO OVEN
This is the yummiest version of the semolina cake we make at our homes.
Recipe:
500 gm rava / semolina
250 gm ghee
1/2 cup milk
375 gm sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp elaichi powder
1 pinch of yellow colour
Process:
1) mix together all the ingredients and keep it overnight or 8-9 hours.
2) transfer it in an 8 inch tin lined with parchment paper.
3) bake on gas stove for 1 hour 40 mins
4) to bake on the gas stove first take a large vessel and place a ring stand in the centre, cover it with the lid and heat it on slow flame for 5 mins
5) then place your tin on the ring stand and cover the large vessel and cook on slow flame
6) When the nice aroma of the cake starts coming, check the roat by putting a knife in the centre
7) if it comes clean then stop baking
8) if not then bake again for 5- 10 mins
🌟 while baking on a stove the time might be different from person person , you have to check the cake if it’s cooked properly by inserting knife or toothpick.
🌟 if the cake is not cooked , don’t panick and think that it has spoiled, cook again for 5 mins intervals
